Choose a romantic and melancholic one... about unrequited love
I immediately dismissed my own dozens of romantic songs to make it easier to choose... it's another matter that I've already sent songs with good lyrics many times (no need to send flobots again), and the choice from the remaining ones is also difficult. Either it's sadness from well-known artists, or just a beautiful song from artists who have already been featured three times, or it's about social issues, or a Russian song, or another option that can be contrasted with all of them at once. This is what I remembered in one night. There are probably others, maybe even better.
We need a video: - featuring music/a song that you can dance to? - featuring a person/people dancing to music, but who are not the performers of that music? - featuring the original performer singing and dancing?
В тихой однообразной жизни всегда так бывает: каждый отдельный день бесконечно долог, но месяцы и годы мчатся с непостижимой быстротой.
I wanted to offer you some flowers, but a crown would suit a princess like you much better
Смысл жизни в том, что жизнь на тебе не заканчивается
I need a video: - featuring music/a song that you can dance to? - showing a person/people dancing to music, but they are not the performers of that music? - where the original performer is singing and dancing themselves?
The first contest turned out to be difficult right away; I have to choose between very romantic and extremely depressing tracks
Yes, it's really impossible.
I sat down last night to choose, and a bunch of options immediately came to mind. Another feature of Russian music (until recently) is that it is predominantly text-based. There's plenty to choose from.
Here, help me choose. You can write one or more numbers. I'll still have to choose only one, but at least I won't consider those that no one writes. It will be a kind of filter.
1. Not particularly philosophical, just a fun, lively song. Genre: metal. 2. A song by the greatest Russian bard. With humor, as is customary. 3. The brightest and kindest song. A cop would approve. The music isn't heavy. 4. An absolutely geeky text. I'll appreciate it, and so will people who go to their concerts and sing along. 5. A driving song that generally contains a meaning to make you think. But you don't have to think about it; it doesn't force you to. Genre: rock. 6. A song with meaning and a positive message. In any case, it doesn't try to impose the idea that everything is bad. Rather, it suggests that everything is in our hands. 7. The most "heavy" song in terms of lyrics in the selection. It's downright dark, and the darker it gets, the darker it gets. In terms of lyrics, it's the deepest, richest, most saturated, and most philosophical. 8. A song about how bad things are for us and how we need to think about freedom. In the current situation, it seems outdated, unlike No. 7, which is relevant at all times. 9. A philosophical song with a historical retrospective. Alex would definitely approve of this theme. Compared to the previous ones, the text isn't particularly heavy. Genre: rock. 10. The performer is the kindest, brightest zoomer, a young man who is not of this world. A kind song, but it's not always easy to follow the train of thought, but that's how it is with this performer. 11. A song about love and how women rule the world. 12. Generally, a song about love, more sad. One of the most famous songs by this band. The lyrics turned out to be very literary. Someone somewhere wrote that it was an imitation of Mandelstam, but I'm not sure. 13. I mentioned in the comments on one of the previous contests that "Adygea" rhymes with "Pelageya," but I didn't say where it came from. Here's a chance to find out. By the way, this doesn't apply to the song itself; the song is in English and about something else. By the way, the previous 12 songs were in Russian. Regarding this song, it's a vocal masterpiece, a brilliant performance. 14. A very cozy song; I would say it has an atmosphere of romance, although there isn't a single word about love. Or maybe there is; it's up to each person to interpret. The only thing is that the video is generally sad, although I wouldn't call the song itself that. 15. A song about love by a great Russian bard. I just like the lyrics. 16. This band is starting to be forgotten, but in vain. According to one study that measured the diversity of vocabulary in the lyrics of Russian bands, it was in 2nd place out of several dozen. For comparison, Pushkin's novel "Eugene Onegin" received a score somewhere between 2nd and 3rd place. The song is dark, like most of this band's songs. And the language is rich. 17. Oh, another song in English. The best joke about circumcision I've ever heard! 18. Just a fun, playful, and ironic song. Genre: pop. 19. Hmm... I need something where I like the lyrics? But here, the lyrics are either unintelligible or incoherent. But that's the point! I like it. 20. Another geeky word salad, like No. 4. But I like that. 21. I already sent the original of this song, and this is a great cover. But I like the lyrics! Google says the genre is rock/pop-rock. 22. Genre: metal, no deep philosophy, but the rhyme:
1 1 1 3
2 2 2 3
Linguistically brilliant! Unusual, original, the lyrics are good.
23. The rhyme is also unusual here:
1 1 3
2 2 3
The music is as if from "Gentlemen of Fortune," plus unconventional vocabulary. I like it. About love and how it happens. Genre: pop song a la 80s.

6 or 7 (player's choice, or +1 if the majority votes), or 16 (if it's not Oxxxymiron/Uncle Zhenya/or probably almost any rap), or 18 (if it's not cringe/soy).
6. A song with meaning and a positive message. At the very least, it doesn't try to impose the idea that everything is bad. Rather, it suggests that everything is in our hands.
I've already posted something like this.
I would probably dismiss the humorous ones (and maybe the geeky ones, although it depends on your goal), and I'd also include metal and bard music. And personally, I wouldn't want to listen to Splean if they happened to be on the list. But the main thing is that not only the lyrics should be enjoyable, but also the music. I try to choose based on that. (it doesn't matter for videos)
