Exactly. You rely on Archers, I rely on Furies. And the Dancers just stand aside. The same goes for Minotaurs. Both are almost wasted resources, and there's always a shortage of them. Balance?
So, what is the discussion about? Whether Dancers are better than Furies?

I was talking about Archers as the ultimate tool for defending mines.
Therefore, you can't consider Furies to be better just because they can capture mines (but what if a fast unit guards it? The Furies are doomed). Dancers are very effective as infantry. However, the discussion has dragged on, and I'm ready to call it a draw.;)

no, strangely enough, not everyone dies from magic:
of course, in a big battle, everyone focuses on the Furies, and there's nothing you can do about it. but if you don't attack them, they can do a lot, and you're wrong about that.
and why would Elves need retaliation if they have Pixies and those fat, dumb, slow, but damn tough Ents? Unicorns?) who will blind the enemy?
so, for me, the convenience and coolness of a race lies precisely in how it allows you to survive. true, the dungeon not only allows you to survive, it also lets you kick everyone's ass:) but never mind.

You might be surprised, but I know how to play with all factions^^; fortunately, in Heroes, it's not hard at all.

Yes, there is such a thing as magic, and there are also elemental chains, which, unlike Cursed Enemy, are much more convenient to use. I understand, you're such an elf patriot; no wonder, since it's your favorite race, you learned how to play it and so on and so forth. But if you spend even a little bit of time studying the technical side, you'll understand who has higher initiative and who has lower, whether Furies will get to move before Dragons, whether your hero will manage to "wipe out half the Dungeon army with magic, growth, and Cursed Enemy." Furies have low growth, but here's the thing: it's not a bug, it's a feature. Just don't tell anyone, but it was designed that way on purpose; even Scouts have low growth. Instead, compare the stats. And compare the speed with which Furies and Prowlers clear the map with the speed of clearing it with any other race. Now think: who will have the cooler army/magic/all sorts of experience and so on, who will clear the map and move further every turn, and who will be running back to the Castle for new Archers, without whom the elves are nowhere.
Knife Dancers are unlikely to cause much harm, as they'll be among the first to die. If they even reach the enemy, their ranks will be noticeably diminished during the process. And they certainly won't strike first, since they move far, but not across the whole map. Furies also don't move across the whole map, but still significantly.
Where did you see me calling unicorns fat and stupid? I understand you were so excited by what you read that you probably made a mistake in writing; well, it happens to everyone, be more careful. Here they are—they are fat and stupid. Fat because they are fat, and stupid because they are slow. Logical, right? See how everything just falls into place!

If you claim that Dungeon is weak, that it will be torn in half on the first turn and won't even get to move... well, then you're a noob. Because Dungeon is even more "cheaty" than your Sylvan (yes, yes, with a capital letter). Actually, Dungeon is my favorite castle... but not for that reason... just because of its elegance... I play all of them...
And elves too. And I like playing them because they are cool and have their own charm.
