It seems like it either doesn't fit or fits only partially :)
During the Nomad turn, Berserk is cast on air elementals, mages, and phoenixes:
Fish become vulnerable to attacks from phoenixes in the back row:
Phoenixes attack mages and air elementals through a cell:
I tried placing fish near birds – the same thing happens:

Although Phoenixes have access to both the right and left cells of the fish, they don’t attack them but instead target the mages.

And another interesting point – if you cast Berserk before the fish move, the phoenixes will attack the mages; however, if you place the fish next to the phoenixes and then cast Berserk, in the next round, the phoenixes will attack the fish.

Hi everyone. I know this would have been relevant back in, say, 2014, and now there's not much point writing on a dead forum, but still, it's a Heroes forum, so let it be.
I'll tell you about a thing called vcmi. I once created a thread about it, but that was more for single-player folks, since online wasn't available at the time. Now it is, and what's more, you can play with simultaneous turns! And it's free.

That's the purpose of my post. How to play SoD with Simultaneous Turns for free (Android, Mac, Linux, Windows)

Install the vcmi client from here https://vcmi.eu/download/
Drop in the game data, i.e., the Data, Maps, and Mp3 folders
Install the vcmi extras mod https://forum.heroesworld.ru/attachm...c=1&d=17250233
Go to multiplayer mode, create an account in the lobby, and play

vcmi extras is a must, as it's a sort of analogue to the HD mod. Hotkeys, etc.

Optionally, you can add various stuff to taste, like different towns, monsters, and such. But of course, it's not required.

The game engine is being rewritten from scratch, and there are differences in AI behavior, both for neutrals and the bots themselves. So don't be surprised by different behavior.

The plus side is that the client can be installed on different operating systems (Android, Mac, Linux, Windows, etc.) and then you can connect all together in a multiplayer game

Obviously, playing from a tablet against someone on a PC isn't very convenient, but it's possible.

There are occasional crashes and flaws, but they're rare; the game isn't 100% ready yet. Keep that in mind.
