No, it's not overpowered at all. It's not cheating in any way. I've played both as and against Karl in duels. I'm not claiming to be a good player, in fact, I play pretty badly, but my opponent was roughly equal to me:D We have a 1:1 score in duels. I won when he was playing as Karl, even though he knows the game well and doesn't ask questions like: What does this woman do, and what are these buttons? He also used runes, and very effectively, but I don't remember who I won against... I vaguely remember it was against Daedra.

Gnomes. Runes are certainly powerful, but their units themselves aren't that great. Even Orcs, despite their seemingly obvious, at first glance, lack of intelligence, are much stronger.

Here we go... the power of runes compensates for the weakness of the dwarven units, although dragons certainly can't be called weak. What kind of overpowered unit is this?

Not at all... I myself have done this, and there's nothing particularly unfair about it. And what about the Chaos Dragon, which is immune to magic – isn't that overpowered?
Yes, this rune significantly increases the effectiveness of the Jarl, but it doesn't compensate for the weaknesses of all the other troops. Besides, who would think of surrounding the Jarl with a ring of troops? What else is there to do?

they boosted it because they have good defense (lots of armor)). The developers, relying on this, created two expansions: one focused on Defense (Gnomes), and the other on Attack (Orcs).)

Of course, Jarl should try to jump into the ring – it's obvious, but the opponent is unlikely to arrange their troops in rings with four empty cells in the middle. Unless they're deliberately trying to help the dwarves win.

And I create a random hero and sacrifice his creatures! And I'll keep sacrificing until the end of the game, giving away armies of heroes 5-7 and beasts +4 and minotaurs +1! Awesome! And I like Dark Elves (especially the elf girls), and I love all races in general! Heroes 5 is GREAT! THE BEST GAME!:smile03:

And I love everyone. And mages too. They're just so cool. Really cool. They're all so... distinguished. Like old guys, they're really cool. Right?

Mages are a good faction, with interesting units, and the overall atmosphere of their castle is also appealing. And you certainly can't call them weak.

Everyone seems to dislike the atmosphere for some reason. Remember how everyone complained, "No, what is this supposed to be, Arabs, ugh... carpets...?", "Gargoyles look like nightstands...", "Golems look like Merlin Manson..." But I think it brings a fresh perspective.
