You can hide it from the panel — take a look at the NCF; there are pre-created catalog entries for all units there, but they're not visible.
This is controlled by the line <HideInEditor>false</HideInEditor> — change it to true

Now I have a different problem. I'm looking for a way to delete unnecessary files and folders from the editor itself. Moreover, the objects are literally linked to a specific root folder, and that's it.

So, I want to remove objects from the left side of the screen, where I select, for example, the file for an Elven town? Never mind, even the developers don't care about that; in these menus, you can find the H6 folder, which will contain the Lizard model, but there's neither a file nor a folder.

I have a slightly different question. What is the reason for the H5MMods folder being created in the Editor game folder? I know that after creating a map and making some minor changes to it, this folder is created, and the map file, index.bin, also appears in it.

It is not possible to remove files from the file and folder structure using the editor's tools. All links are generated and stored in index.bin; if you understand its structure, you can manually remove links (spoiler: this is possible). The editor does not work with archived files (maps are archives). It first unpacks them into a temporary folder, Editor/H5MMods/MapName/, then modifies the files there during map editing. Upon closing the map or selecting Resource => Pack MOD, it archives them back. The [MOD: some path] bar in the application title indicates that the editor is currently working in a folder with unpacked data. To exit this folder, press Resource => Close MOD (on the toolbar); the editor will then work in the data directory without prior unpacking/packing. Keep in mind that each time you open a map, it deletes the previous files from Editor/H5MMods/MapName/, so working with a map as an archive for a future mod is not the correct approach.
