Posts from NCF – Extended list of Neutral creatures.
fktifzobr@mail.ru So, it's like an alpha channel, right? Well, there's nothing really wrong with it; it doesn't hurt the eyes too much, so it's a decent result.
Once a year, on the longest night, a horde of ghosts sweeps across the sky of Ashan – they seek warriors worthy of joining them in the upcoming battle against the Dark Messiah. The Night Hunters fly ahead of the horde, searching for lost travelers. These female warriors are armed with magical spears that can pierce any armor and inflict grievous wounds on their enemies.
I understand this is the main upgrade? I remember that before, for the Necropolis faction, you had this concept: green - standard, no upgrade; red - blood elite; and brown - plague, wild undead (alt-upgrade). Or has this concept already become a thing of the past?
Added 5 minutes later What lore is planned for this creature?
As I understand it, is this the main upgrade? I remember that in the past, for the Undead faction, you had this concept: green - standard, no upgrade; red - blood elite; and brown - plague, wild undead (alternative upgrade). Or has this concept already become a thing of the past?

This is an upgrade; I'm not sure if there will be other upgrades/non-upgrades in NCF because the history is becoming problematic, and I'll have to rewrite it.
I was inspired by folklore - the Wild Hunt. There is a horde of ghosts that flies through the sky once a year, searching for "friends." These are Valkyries, the undead, and there will also be ghosts based on the angel model (old version).
They all have different spells, abilities, etc.
But if a plague upgrade appears, is that another Wild Hunt? What? How? Why? And who are the unupgraded units? It's a mess, in short. It's easier with a faction - there's a country, and within it, there are, conditionally, southerners and northerners who live there, and they differ culturally or live in different conditions. But that won't work with the Wild Hunt; internal lore development is needed. But the beauty of the Wild Hunt is that it doesn't need lore - it doesn't even need a goal (but in my case, they are waiting for the fulfillment of a prophecy about a dark messiah - this separates them from the rest of the Necropolis because Aranthir is trying to cancel the prophecy as if he were Tzeentch, not a servant of Asch). They can be liches, they can be vampires, ghosts; they can live in a pocket dimension, in a desert under elemental Towers, or simply in a secret Dungeon; it doesn't matter. What matters is that they fly through the sky and collect souls once a year
The concept with the Wild Hunt is very interesting! I agree that all sorts of plague-themed upgrades are unnecessary for it. As for the ghosts on the angel model that were made earlier, they would fit perfectly with this theme (and they are well-made in themselves).
