I voted for Deirdre because Lucretia has her magic skills maxed out, and I focus on other skills.

I'm for Lucretia and Deirdre! Lucretia is awesome with her vampires! And they also give a good spell – 38! And if you put Heavenly Shield on the vampires, that's it... game over! And with Deirdre, you can make a great rush and pull it off!

I voted for Vlad; I really like being resurrected. Vlad is a worthy successor to Tant, and that could be written in his biography. :) Vlad studied at the Institute of Applied Resurrections under the guidance of Professor, Doctor of Necromancy, Tant Sandrovich Vampirov.

I'm for Lucretia and Kaspar! Both are very useful, and their avatars are cool! ;)

I like Lucriencia and Kaspar more.
Kaspar is good for rushing.
Lucriencia is good for the mid and late game (vampires are strong).

Kaspar has very fast development at the early levels (if you know how to develop him).
Lucrezia is something else entirely at mid-levels; she's practically unbeatable, of course, thanks to her vampires.

Kaspar is certainly a good hero, but I prefer either Naadira (with her, you can gather 100 ghosts with mines, maybe even more) and have them emerge from the enemy ranks (especially useful when attacking a castle – you eliminate a unit next to an archer and get a blocker), or Zoltan (against Academy newbies), or Vlad (as a second hero, he's the best overall).

I don't understand why Nadir and Giovanni have the same unique Soul Hunter skill. In other factions, it doesn't seem to be duplicated. I play as them because it's convenient for early-game development, especially in battles against not-so-strong neutrals. Usually, the last ones are fighting with the souls of their fallen comrades.

And that’s because Giovanni is a hero from the campaigns. Look how many units are the same between the Inferno faction’s basic units and the Inferno campaign units, and the same goes for Haven. If you have the Tribes of the East, check the folder with the game; there’s a folder called “documents” where you’ll find a great manual. You can check how many units are the same there.
