Hello, Heroes fans! It's been a while since there were any tournaments on HW, we need to fix that. I propose holding a dynamic and exciting summer tournament)

Template pool: 2sm, 6lm, Jebus Cross. Players alternately ban templates; the order is determined by a coin toss.

The default game version is SoD; by mutual agreement, both FreshMod and HotA can be played. Accordingly, games will be conducted according to the current SoD rules posted on HW, or according to the rules of the latest version of FreshMod (in this case, additional settings are chosen by player agreement), or according to the HotA lobby rules — that one's pretty clear. A small adjustment: I propose that in any version, when choosing towns, the HotA rule be used, where a player can ban one of the rolled towns and demand a free new pair be generated, then for 500 gold. I suggest limiting the number of rerolls and bans to two (first time free, second for 500).

It is assumed that all games will be played with OХ. ОХ for Jebus Cross and 6lm is 117, for 2sm is 115. Players can agree on any other ОХ time that suits them before the start of the match.

To keep the tournament engaging and intense, I propose playing each round within one week. I hope we can avoid scheduling mandatory game days, but if it does come to that, the course of action is simple: the participant who believes their opponent is avoiding the game must contact the organizer/judge before the end of the round and provide evidence of the opponent's avoidance. The organizer/judge tries to contact the second player; if an agreeable date for both players cannot be arranged, the organizer/judge will set a game time for the nearest evening; failure to show or being more than half an hour late will be counted as a technical defeat. If none of the participants request a mandatory game day before the end of the round, such a day will not be set after the round ends.

By decision of the tournament participants, one of them can be chosen as a judge in case such situations arise.

Since this tournament was initially conceived as a mini-tournament to be held in a short timeframe, the registration period is also short: registration closes on Wednesday at 23:59, and the draw will be held.

Draw results: (if I misspelled someone's nickname, no offense)
Group A: 1) Proger, 2) DimaSurmay, 3) gizmo-war, 4) Sir Davos.
Group B: 1) igrayukakmogu, 2) Bubuch, 3) Avangard, 4) ckotuHa.
Group C: 1) Troublikk, 2) Beriadon, 3) Gos, 4) Morgot
Group D: 1) Gorbunak, 2) Mregor, 3) Meo, 4) Jobstar, 5) Neo

Rounds:
In the first round, within each group, participants with the following order numbers play: 1 - 2, 3 - 4.
Second round: 1 - 3, 2 - 4,
Third round: 1 - 4, 2 - 3.
Official start of the tournament is August 5th. The duration of each group stage round and then each playoff round is one week.
All games are BO1 (best of one), but if both players agree to play under other BO conditions, it is not prohibited, as long as they manage to do so within the round's timeframe. Naturally, playing a game ahead of the round's start is not forbidden if both participants can find the time for it.
In case of a tie in points within a group, the Berger coefficient is checked first, then the head-to-head result. If this does not resolve it (a "rock-paper-scissors" situation or a draw in the head-to-head match), these players play each other again.

Further tournament bracket:
Quarter-finals: A1-B2, A2-B1, C1-D2, C2-D1.
Semi-finals: winner of pair A1-B2 vs. winner of pair C1-D2, winner of pair A2-B1 vs. winner of pair C2-D1.

Congrats, NEO! 🥳
Thank you!
It was a nice tournament.
I would like to express my gratitude and admiration to Xocenk! He took the role of organizer and brought this tournament to its final stage, in a situation where Beriadon had no time to do it!!!
I wish more players to participate in such tournaments, which will speak for itself that HEROES III - SOD is not dead, but alive and kicking!
Let's not forget from where it all started!!!

Unfortunately, Gorbunak was unable to participate in the final. With the consent of all parties, he was replaced by Avangard.

Congratulations to NEO on the victory!!! He joined the tournament at the last moment and won!
