In the current reality, this takes a very long time. Secondly, tournaments without prizes have ceased to be interesting to professional players. Of course, some tournaments are needed, but this leads to the third (underlying) problem: the lack of organizers. I think that if someone wanted to seriously take up this task, there would be people willing to play in tournaments (even if not in as many as before), but still. In this regard, a logical question arises: are there any people who would like to organize something?

Heroes 3 tournaments are still going strong. In fact, a new tournament on Msstudio for Heroes 3 has just started. It has the largest prize pool in the history of Heroes. The tournament is called Heroes Hunt. Registration for the tournament is open.

Many more tournaments are organized on Discord servers by the organizers. Tournaments for everyone are held by YaR, Don'tCallMeCris, MKS, and Armag. Wukosha and LampaRPG recently finished theirs. And so on. I clearly didn't remember everyone.
