In my opinion, it would have been much better to make them two-dimensional...
I'm not saying that a two-dimensional version is better than a three-dimensional one, but I liked the 2D versions more. At the same time, I made it clear that this is just my humble opinion, not an irrefutable statement.
And what about the 4th installment? It would be easy to write something about the commander in the army and his personal parameters - what is the simple negativity towards the 4th heroes?
Well, yes, I don't like them compared to the previous parts. They even came up with the idea of crossing Necropolis and Inferno! And there are no unit upgrades at all, the magic is "muddy"... and so on. And I didn't include the fourth game in that list because it stands out from the overall picture.
There are units from levels 1-7 with the possibility of upgrading, there are castles, the number of which increases with the add-ons,
Oh, well, when there are many castles, maybe I'll be able to force myself to play the 5th one again:)
I just can't accept the game, I tried to play it - I gave up
The size of the humanoids still looks very strange. For example, in the Dark faction... assassins are smaller than the Mistresses, what the heck is that? Are they a different species? And humans are bigger than them, it's just nonsense...
And the cutscenes in Heroes of Might and Magic III were better, especially the endings of the campaigns from The Restoration of Erathia... it was like a movie.
And in Heroes of Might and Magic V... (referring to the videos at the beginning, end, and during the campaigns).
Still, the graphics are a drawback, although they aren't the most important thing in the game.
Only the 5th installment disappointed: 1. Why did they make the mages smoke a hookah? 2. It lags. 3. It takes too long to figure out what's a landscape and what's an interactive object... 4. They parodied the Dungeon. 5. Where is the world of Heroes 3? 6. Zombies run all over the map. 7. Peasants have become stronger. 8. And it's impossible to surpass the original Heroes 3. 9. And I gave my copy of the 5th game to someone.

And what, are mages not people? Are they not allowed to smoke anymore? There are no old heroes. But there are no new ones in the third game either. And besides, do you want the world to be new, but the faces to be the same? No, that won't work. Where are the strong peasants? I didn't notice any... They didn't surpass the third game, but they didn't disappoint either; they are quite on par. The Dungeon is great – wet, damp, and dark, unlike the bright sandstone in the third game; dungeons like that don't exist.

This game was the very first one I played (year 2000). These 200 MB (without expansions) are so wonderful. I still play them to this day. I can confidently say that Heroes 3 is better than Heroes 5, Heroes 3 is IMMORTAL! Respect to everyone who remains loyal to Heroes 3!

I don't know how it happened, but the fifth installment of Heroes is even worse than the fourth. To this day, the best Heroes game for me is Heroes 3, and specifically, The Shadow of Death.
In general, I think that there isn't one suitable answer option in the poll. Personally, I enjoy playing both games and don't plan to give any preference to one or abandon the other.

The world truly... some time will pass, Heroes 8 will appear, and people will still be talking about the fifth installment. And for now, someone simply doesn't want to appreciate it.

well, let's just say that each part has its own unique feature – some people like it, others don't.....=));););) but for now, I think part 3 is the most polished version... although part 5 is not far behind=););)
