A Korean drama where one of the key characters is autistic. As far as I understand, there are quite a few such films in Korea because the problem of these people is acutely felt there. To be specific, the film is about a successful lawyer who is involved in a case where the key witness for the prosecution is an autistic schoolgirl. Since he is a very diligent and successful lawyer, he wants to win the case again and tries to befriend her in order to find a weak point in her testimony. Essentially, the story of their relationship is the central theme of the film. However, it is not the only theme – the film also shows his relationship with his father and another colleague, with whom he studied at university a long time ago. Perhaps I liked this film because I am no longer young, and in the life of the lawyer shown, I saw, if not a reflection of my own life, then at least a similar situation, since the lives of most ordinary people are somewhat similar. The plot of the film is simple, but in terms of the emotions it evokes and the desire to show various aspects of life, including communication with an autistic girl, it is simply excellently filmed. I also thought that Hollywood would gladly make a film with the same ideas and plot, but it would turn out to be bland, boring, and terrible. In general, despite the fact that, in principle, nothing particularly interesting happens in the film, I really liked it. It is not tearful or heartbreaking, but it evokes a certain, somewhat pleasant sadness.
Where do we end up when we save the world?
