Hello everyone! I am pleased to present my Horn of the Abyss build, designed for installation on Apple MAC computers! I want to state right away that I am NOT affiliated with the HotA team; I am just as much a fan of the game as the esteemed public – please, no throwing slippers :smile15:

Unfortunately, there are certain requirements for the hardware and software needed for the game to run on Apple and MAC OS – only computers with Intel processors (any Apple MAC model from 2007 and later) are supported, with the following operating system versions:

10.6 Snow Leopard, 10.7 Lion, 10.8 Mountain Lion, 10.9 Mavericks, 10.10 Yosemite, 10.11 El Capitan, 10.12 Sierra, 10.13 High Sierra, and macOS 10.14 Mojave.

ATTENTION!!! Due to the complete discontinuation of support for any 32-bit applications in all Apple macOS operating systems starting with 10.15 Catalina, running my HotA game build on macOS 10.15 Catalina and later is currently PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE!!!

The build of the Russian and English versions is based on the latest HotA release – v1.6.1, with the latest HD+ mod v5 RC94 integrated. I have not added anything to the game myself!

The DMG images contain installation instructions in the corresponding language.

P.S. Currently, the only difference from the PC version is that auto-updates are disabled in the MAC version. Work on this is ongoing – debugging and testing.

no settings window opens for me; "Test Run Complete!" appears, and that's it.
Then, errors start appearing, like

ERROR, tried to run command WSS-wineprefixcreatenoregs when the wrapper was already running. Please make sure the wrapper is not running in order to do this.

What went wrong?

It only doesn't work when trying to register with letters in the online lobby. Neither Cyrillic nor English letters can be entered. I could only register using numbers (
Mac 10.13.6).

Tell me, does this method also not work on macOS Ventura 13.3.1 (22E261)?
Maybe someone can tell me how to install Heroes 7 on a Mac?
