They are defending the ranged stack.

They are defending against ranged units.

That's understandable; they often do that. But I've never seen them move back three turns instead of attacking. :eek: Still, if a monster has the ability to attack, it usually does. There have just been too many situations where monsters suddenly stop attacking. I'm curious, is this related to the HD mod changing the AI?

AI is rebelling against humans; the Matrix scenario is not far off.
