I played it. Overall, yes, it's not bad. The new world looks the opposite of what was in the storyline about robots, and the contrast works well. There are more different characters, which might be interesting in the future. The plot isn't exactly amazing, but it's passable.
I started playing, saw that a storyline was coming up, thought I'd finish it, and then they showed me ten cutscenes that were pointless, gave me two fights with random mobs, and nothing happened, and TO BE CONTINUED.
I was also very disappointed with that update. And there's also the factor of predictability in the storyline - it was clear from the loading screen that there would be battles with Belfomet's furies. But even that wasn't given, they just led you to the obvious and made you wait for the next update.
Honestly, it looks better than I expected: a fairly laid-back storyline, it even made me want to reread Philip K. Dick - about androids, electric sheep, and all that. Although after completing the Isabel storyline, Luna seemed less interesting, because it was already clear what would happen.
Yes, in essence, after completing the Isabel storyline, it becomes a bit boring. The scenarios of other characters introduce you to the local inhabitants and reveal some details, but in my opinion, this is less interesting than it was in Isunia. They didn't add any colorful characters, only Belfomet stands out, but the robot sisters aren't very interesting. Overall, for me, this storyline didn't surpass the guild wars, except perhaps for the atmosphere.
But the main problem remains the same - monotonous enemies, which is further exacerbated by the same phrases, like "Lord Belfomet authorization required." Fighting the same metal face 20 times is tiring.
In the new world, they used the following method to diversify the generic enemies - they added different clothes and hairstyles to the same enemies. However, the feeling that you are watching an attack of clones still remains, because they all stand in the same poses and with the same expression on their faces.
However, Major Fluffy Butt won me over. I generally love nature and cats, what could be better?
What kind of furry world would it be without a cute cat? Yes, the cat is cool, a clumsy, fluffy rogue. I was especially amused by Arisa's reaction to him, but Rovan and Erika almost didn't react...
That lesbian with the greedy claws would fit right in with the "padonki." It's a forgotten ancient language.
Judging by her speech, the ancients were internet users and cool guys. Maybe that's why they were annihilated.
Alright, I finished off the robots, yeah, what a mess, and even here they blocked me and didn't let me win with Wolverine. What else is there to do here, seriously? Will anyone be interested in finishing this terrible arc on this garbage heap in a year?
But I understood what exactly you called a creep – it's our typical localization of anime girls, nothing new.
How unplayable are those pre-built decks! I've replayed Aris's last or second-to-last map four times now, and three times I lost on the fifth day to the dragon. And all this time, the dragon's awful music kept playing: TRA-TA-TA-TA TRA-TA-TA-TA-TA. In the end, I gave up and rage-quit, just to stop hearing it.
It’s good that I didn’t dismantle my neutral forest. In the early battles of the campaign, I tried to have fun with cockroaches, but I abandoned that and started smashing faces with my old, reliable build.
But in Urias’s branch, things weren’t so rosy. My decks for this craft are terrible, the pre-built decks aren’t much better, and the vampire’s opponents were stronger (or it just seemed that way). So, even the most ordinary mobs were often killed not on the first try.
They didn’t add any colorful characters; only Belfomet is entertaining, but the robot sisters aren’t very good.
But Mono amused me, for example. She’s a top-tier character in this campaign. Moreover, it’s even funnier in contrast to Ladika – there’s so much pathos and poetry there, but here it’s just “lol, kek, cheburek.”
That lesbian with her greedy claws would fit right in with the padonki. It’s a forgotten ancient language, after all.
By the way, when they showed the Keeper’s speech again, it occurred to me what her recording sounds like. It’s how cool emos wrote things in 2007. It’s another dead language, in a way.
I'll also add my two cents. I really don't like the music that's playing in the intro now; it's just awful. And it's also annoying during the Grand Prix, brbrbr. I like the default music in the game, from neutral to very much, and I generally prefer playing with the original soundtrack. But this is just fu-fu-fu, I might as well turn off my headphones while playing. And the new leaders are irritating; maybe they should have familiarized themselves with the original source material, but I have no desire to do that. For me, they're just a bunch of repainted, cookie-cutter girls with no interesting qualities to latch onto. They would be neutral if they weren't shoved into the game, adding waifu elements and all that glamour, brbrbr.
Decided to play a few ranked matches, and I was puzzled: what merits do I have to receive a win streak bonus in Arena 3 (considering it's a rotation, and I'm much lower in unlimited)? Like, have I not played in a while? Or has the bonus been extended even further now?
And also – what's the deal with temporary cards? They say they're available "for a limited time," but when will that time end? And will they give out other cards after that, or will you only be able to get them with gems?
I don't like the music that's playing in the intro now; it's really annoying. And it also grates on my ears in the Grand Prix, brbrbr.
Like in other CCGs, I turned off the music in Heroes of Might and Magic after about a month of playing. But the interface in the current Grand Prix is really too pink; it's irritating, even though I only go there to get free stuff.
Yes, they extended the win streak. And temporary maps were introduced around the time of the expansion; no one knows yet when they will be removed. In my opinion, it's a good feature; it saves vials quite well.
It would be better to have such a loud leader instead of Latham:
Also, I had a "great" moment – I remembered what it was like to play with a similar deck before. And I laughed at its phrase "I didn't stand a chance" – it was the only battle in Rovan's campaign that I had to replay, and not just once.
In my opinion, it's a good feature; it saves vials quite well.
I especially like that this thing saves you from having to craft a third copy of a legendary, which I always did reluctantly.
I finished the second half of the Rovan campaign on the second-to-last difficulty level, and I didn't have to replay a single battle. I was just amazed at how broken the Disdain pack is.
