Decided to release my build in honor of the recent anniversary of the game's release. Brief description: This is an experimental build for modders, based on the 3DO Homm3 Complete Platinum version, optimized by Black Phantom several years ago. Unlike other modifications in the "Heroes 3FE" build (fan edition), binary patches were used to set the game's overall resolution to 1024 x 768. The build was also adapted to run on Win 7 using the "dgVoodoo 2" wrapper utility. This wrapper allows the game to run correctly on widescreen monitors, displaying the original screen (aspect ratio 4:3 and 5:4). When using Win XP and (4:3) monitors, the wrapper utility can be removed or the DDraw.dll library can be renamed to DDraw.xxx. The Campaign files have been temporarily moved to simplify working with the build. Many interface screens have been reworked in the build, but the town screens have not been completely reworked. Despite the large number of graphical shortcomings, the build has shown stable performance under Win XP; testing on Win 7 has not been carried out.
