The problem is as follows: I needed to free up space on the disk. The game was the first to be removed. However, I couldn't delete it using the standard method. The following message appeared (Error during support file extraction: catastrophic failure, attached to the message). The same thing happened when I tried to remove the Hammers of Fate expansion. The original game was deleted without any problems. After resolving the computer issues (which couldn't possibly affect the game), I decided to reinstall the game. I launched the installation of the original game, and it seemed to work. Then I decided to install the expansions, and the following error occurred (image: Error during installation 2). I decided to fix everything using the old method: delete all folders on the disk and clean the registry using CCleaner. It didn't help. I can still only delete the first part; the other two cannot be deleted and remain in the list of removed programs. I'm using Windows 10 Home. I haven't tried any other solutions.

*As a temporary workaround, I suggest installing the game on another computer and transferring the folder with the files.

In principle, the problem was solved by simply copying the folder with the installed game. The topic can be closed.
