Yes, I agree; we discussed this earlier. There’s also a list of some other worthwhile maps there. And here is another list of the best maps according to the Masters of HeroesPortal. It is important (and desirable) that the suggested maps have been at least partially completed by someone, so it will be clear how good they actually are and whether there are any critical problems (such as being impossible to complete due to author errors). There are many interesting maps based on their appearance alone, but appearances can often be deceiving.

I can compile a list myself; there's nothing extraordinary about it. I left comments on almost all of these maps in the Walkthrough topic. It’s clear that they are all playable. But here lies the problem with Chinese maps, namely the illegibility of the text. That is, their gameplay is definitely outstanding, but the lack of translations into at least English deters many from playing them.

The list on HP is good, but there are some points to note. For example, the Rise of the Sun King map is unplayable and therefore cannot be included in such lists.

I'll reiterate that Rise of the Sun King is unfinished and doesn't work as intended, which is why it's "outside of categories."

It's on the list as a kind of monument to mapmaking and for the crazy battles on the first day.

A wonderful map that will appeal to most players, unlike hardcore Chinese maps.

Personally, I would include Lord of the Rings 3.0 as one of the newer, best maps in the collection. I ran it once, but haven't played through it yet. Regarding Rise of the Sun King: if the author ever fixes all the bugs, then we can consider that there is a final version. For now, it's more of a testing ground.
