Posts from DISCUSSIONS on “Rules for online games in HoMM3 and formulas for calculating player rating.”Auto-translated
That's exactly the point: all the games are there, both for the Creator and for the Ihromant, but for the Creator, one game simply isn't added to the overall total and the total number of wins. Which, by the way, could affect the calculation of the number of rating points, or it might not. Without seeing how the rating points are calculated for the Creator, it's impossible to understand.
The number of games is now equal, but it's unclear why there's a difference in the number of points. The Ihromant has 1830 points in the rating, while the Creator has 1850. Is there a different formula for calculating points? Or could this be related to a different start date for calculating points? In other words, does the difference arise from the different rating of some of the old-timers I played with?

The Nitro (and Creator) rating is probably based on the old rating that existed before the automatic reporting system. That is, not everyone started with 1500. I started with 1500. I don't know if I will enter the old ratings, as I want to create an analyzer with data from games that have complete information (and I doubt that all the necessary information can be properly extracted from the old spreadsheets, although I may be wrong).

Nitro's (and Creator's) rating is likely based on the old rating system that existed before the automated report submission system. That is, not everyone started with 1500. I started with 1500. I'm not sure if I will include old ratings, as I want to create an analyzer for games that have complete information (and I doubt that all the necessary information can be properly extracted from old Excel files, although I may be wrong).
There is no information about old reports, only the original data, which is taken into account in the Creator's rating and the Nitro rating. 1. Maretti (420, 64, 486) 1975 2. BISHOP (80, 28, 109) 1956 3. AlexTheGreat (53, 3, 56) 1948 4. Gomunguls (443, 147, 601) 1918 5. Pit for LM (125, 30, 157) 1883 6. HellLight (175, 183, 363) 1848 and so on.
I suggest adding a rule for the 6LM hotseat mode: allow players to pick their starting 3K composition (since getting to it is mandatory, and it should include both red and blue units). It doesn't matter whether this is implemented as a separate trade or by linking it to the color, like in Mininost, I think this kind of pick will reduce the amount of randomness.
The remaining 4 compositions should be left to random selection.
Regarding the Creator's Heroes World rating. I noticed that the rating is not being assigned correctly to new players; they start with zero instead of 1500. Some players already have negative ratings, for example:
The rating recalculation system has been updated (errors have been fixed and the processing speed has been increased; now, the rating is recalculated in less than 8 seconds from scratch, and incremental changes are calculated even faster, while the calculations themselves do not overload the server).
All user interfaces related to Tournaments and the rating have also been updated (a universal filter has been added to most tables, which allows you to filter the table data. For example, you can enter the name of a player, city, or Castle, and the table will display only the data that matches the filter).
On the rating page of each player, changes in the rating for each game are now displayed, so you can track the history of all changes in detail (you can go to the player's rating page from the page with the rating of all players by clicking "details," from the player's profile page by clicking on the icon or rating number, or from the player's mini-profile page by clicking on the same icon/number, next to each player's message on the forum).
There is such a problem; it is related to the fact that among your games, there are games in which a player participated, who then created a new game profile on the forum, and then their profiles were merged. Therefore, for the forum, he does not exist, but in the reports, there are games linked to his old profile. In the near future, I plan to find all such players and correct the data for them in the rating system, after which everything will work as it should.
For now, I have made it so that the page opens, but games with such players do not have the opponent's name in the game report.
Dear Creator! I implemented the website with same idea as former Nitro's website (currently at heroes3stat.appspot.com ). Previously it parsed the plain html and then collected reports and calculated rating. After recent changes obviously it was broken due to dynamic generation of reports table. I implemented required changes and getting needed data from ajax.php. It worked just for 1 or 2 days. Now when I'm sending the request, it returns "" (empty) response. Adding toker[1] didn't help. Could you please advise what headers should I pass to the php in order to get response? By the way, when we are trying to view reports in player's page, it doesn't work as well. For example: http://forum.heroesworld.ru/rating.php#/ru/user/48865
Looking forward to reading from you.

Ihromant, to be able to access API you should add a token header that is possible to get from javascript functions (get...ApiAccessToken) attached to every forum's page (that implementation is not final, so you can use it for now, but don't rely on it in a long term).
Unfortunately, HW rating page had a malfunction that was not fixed on time since I was unavailable for previous days, but it is fixed for now.
I see you did a good job implementing a rating based on a parser, thank you, but for now, HW has its own rating that works pretty good and I have plans to extend it further. I would say that maintenance of 3rd party tool that is based on rapidly changing implementation of core service could become a monkey job, so if you really want to maintain it, it is better to wait until it stabilized. However, I think it could be even better if you can join the initiative of extending HW rating, in this case, we could develop HW faster, and your effort would not be wasted on maintenance. Feel free to contact me by PM if you are in.
The ability to view unconfirmed reports for all players has been added, with filtering options similar to other data tables. Additionally, there is a filter to display players with more than 3 unconfirmed reports that are over one month old.
The list of unconfirmed reports for a specific player is displayed on the player's detailed rating page if they have any, and can also be viewed by entering the player's nickname after a slash on the unconfirmed reports page.
