Hey!)
I finally finished this map!)
Here's what happened:
1) The initial development was generally good, but there were many locations (with artifacts/resources) that had extremely strong defenses, far exceeding the value of what they were guarding.
I left some of these places untouched (e.g., a gold mine guarded by a legion of griffins). Maybe this is a quirk of WOG, I don't know.
2) Further, steady development, typical for this stage. A turquoise player was roaming around on a ship nearby; I was wary of him, and it turned out I was right to be.)
3) The brown faction was defeated first; one opponent was particularly tough, then the red faction. I finished off the regular heroes of the purple faction myself, and their strongest hero was left without castles and perished.)
4) The turquoise player turned out to be quite strong. The first battle was unsuccessful – the army seemed powerful enough, but the opponent was very strong and constantly cast spells. In the second attempt, I managed to capture his Castle, used the Sphere of Inhibition, regrouped around the archers, and won.
5) There were still minor pink opponents left, but it wasn't entirely clear where the main one was located. Thanks to the "Fearless Guardian" spell, I was able to see his Castle. To reach it, I had to go through a legion of azure units, which required some effort to defeat. As it turned out later, I could have jumped through a door into that area from another point)).
6) I captured the first pink-necromancer building with a weak, but skilled Vidomina, who had a decent squad, without much difficulty. Nearby, there was a teleport, which led to a very dangerous place where the final enemy was located. He attacked immediately, and after the first battle and considering the forces, it became clear that defeating him would not be easy, especially since it was happening on cursed land...
7) I searched and finally found one(!) creature upgrade building, which significantly eased the task)). As a result, the army turned out to be quite diverse: Thunderbirds, Hell Barons, Mind Elementals + fully upgraded Earth, Air, and Fire Elementals, and the Diamond Golems, which I came to love in the games. The latter, by the way, turned out to be the weakest link – they were completely destroyed, all one thousand of them. Although, maybe they were exposed to too many attacks. Before the final battle, a funny thing happened: Saron, having lost his last city, didn't attack, but went into a teleport, where he got stuck in a loop)). I had to attack him myself outside the city. In the battle, I positioned myself in such a way that none of the opponent's strong units could really harm me. The azure units, which had caused trouble in the previous battle, were eliminated unnoticed, and I destroyed the 600+ Spectres in a few rounds. The rest was just a matter of technique and quick time.
I definitely liked the map because, in the end, I encountered a really well-developed, level 69 hero with a decent army, a formidable opponent, and it was interesting and exciting to fight him!)
