But one can't deny that Barbarians develop much faster: for their creatures, Orcs, Ogres, and Cyclops don't need buildings, and Hydras only need the Gorgon's building! Also, the creature ignores part of the Hydra's defense and deals significant damage, while the Hydra also attacks creatures, and it costs more! The creature can defeat an Archangel one-on-one – I personally checked!

Well, in the third game, Necropolis isn't the strongest faction! Elves and Fortress are stronger!

Guys, what are you talking about? There are no strong or weak factions in Heroes, the game has a solid balance. Everything depends on the player's skill, and if someone is weak, it just means you don't know how to use the strengths of the faction.

People often argue here about the undead... Well, I don't know... I just couldn't learn to play them properly, to be honest! I think it's far from the strongest race... And regarding the unique features of each race, it also depends on the player's skills, and very much so!!! For example, I hate the slowness of the Necropolis... In Heroes 3, you can easily slow them down and, playing as Fortress, you can just leisurely crush them :D :D :D But some people find it convenient to overwhelm with numbers. They gather a couple of thousand skeletons - and that's it... I, for example, can't do that... But I think that in skilled hands, any race can win... despite all its features!;)
