Posts from Summer-Autumn-Winter Tournament for fans of Heroes 4.
what if you played one map with one player, and then played the same map with another player... you already know it, but the other player doesn't ) (viewing the map in the editor might not help much)))
maybe give everyone the same map for the first round, and a different map for the second round, and so on? )
Well, if the questions are going well :D... I would like to clarify a few more things :) I'm asking specifically here (in the thread) so that everything is transparent, clear, and known to everyone.
First: is it possible to play with the same factions?
Second: "Players choose the map by agreement; if they cannot agree, the game will be played on a designated map." - Will the designated map be set in advance and be the same for all cases, or will the organizer assign it for each specific situation?
1) The game will be played with different factions. If there is no mutual agreement, the factions will be chosen using an elimination system, until 3 remain.
2) The game will be played on a map chosen by agreement; if they cannot agree, the map will be assigned by the Organizer.
P.S. Thank you for the questions; the rules have been updated. Best regards, LeSHiJ-MaX

That's why the maps have been posted, so that everyone who wants to can view them and play on them.
Arandor, thank you for your attention and participation in the Tournament.
Can I clarify one thing?:smile43: What does "making saves" mean? Does it mean I need to save after every turn, or what? Please explain, someone:o

Барон "Vampires"
Отдай свои прошлые сны,
В сомненьях себя обрети,
В бешеном танце душа кружится!
Не думай, что будет потом,
Здесь и сейчас мы живем,
Стань хоть на миг сам собой, слышишь!

For example, you are playing with Lumina. You make your move and then press (on the panel in the upper right corner, the button with the image of gears), then click "save game" and enter, for convenience, Lum1 (after the first turn), then Lum2 after the second turn, and so on.
What is this for?
During controversial discussions, you will be asked for a specific save.
Why?
We get your save and see how you moved and what you did.
How is this done?
The game menu button is pressed (in the upper right column, a red flag). Then "view turn" is selected. And there you can see where and how you moved in that turn. You can check it yourself!:)
P.S. If something is unclear, ask, don't be shy:smile01:
Before this, everyone was playing fine. We finished it in two days, saving twice - once at the end of the first day (for real), and the second time before the final battle.
You can't enter codes; it will be visible. It's better to play in one day, IMO. If needed, there are small maps.
P.S. I hope the participants are skilled players, not cheaters. Anyone who wants can save.
You'll get tired of saving.

And it's not as scary as it might seem. For example, even when I play a simple game with someone, I constantly save my moves - it's a habit.
Saving takes 5-10 seconds. You're not going to play for years. So, don't worry:smile11:.
Three participants haven't confirmed their participation yet... that's a shame. It should affect the tournament system. But still, if there are groups (maybe), what criteria will be used to form them? I was promised help with a program that can randomly select (like a draw)... If this is of interest to the organizers, let me know... (but not me, of course :D)
P.S. If I were playing with OP, I would only choose the elimination option.
1. by agreement
2. random selection
3. elimination
But this doesn't include such an extreme option as "at the discretion of the organizers." Although, of course, anything can happen, so it also has a legitimate basis for existence...
What about random factions... is it allowed by agreement between players, or not?

Separate thanks for the draw program (even if something doesn't work out)
P.S. It's nice when participants show such support and initiative:smile02:
I would like to express my special thanks for the lottery program (even if something doesn't work out).
I will try to make it work... There is a programmer who can write it. I will try to persuade him, and I will report back tomorrow.
I'll now send private messages to those who are still undecided; maybe it will help)).
If there are any more willing participants, we welcome them!! We're happy to have everyone!! The more, the better!!
Pandora, thank you so much for the program (I hope you succeed), because Leshy and I were racking our brains: how to handle the draw)).
And in general, thank you to you and everyone else for your help!!!
