Posts from Heroes of Might and Magic III: Shades of Darkness crashes when loading the Paragon map.

Hello everyone!

As the title suggests...

I tried two different versions of the Paragon map (for example, http://heroesportal.net/maps/view/3480) and reinstalled the game itself, but it crashes midway through loading.

I don't have this problem with other maps.

What could be the problem?

I'm using Windows 7.

I tested the map on my Windows XP system, using the version downloaded from the link above. In "The Shadow of Death," the game crashed. In "The Shadow of Death" with the HD mod, the game started normally. In "Complete Collection," the game started normally. In "Complete Collection" with the HD mod, the game started normally. I recommend installing the HD mod. If the game still crashes with the HD mod, you should try to find and install a different version of "Heroes 3" (download from a different source).

Reinstalled the game from a different package – "(2000) Heroes of Might and Magic III Complete".

Everything worked without any issues.
