Introduction:
1) The tournament will be held on version HoMM IV: Equilibris 3.51 (download it here). You can connect via Hamachi (download here) in one subnet:

Registration for the tournament is considered open from the launch of this topic and will last until February 1st.
Anyone who wishes can sign up for the tournament.
To participate in the tournament, you need to leave an application in this topic; in the application, you must indicate your nickname and ICQ number (or another means of communication with you).
Games will start on February 2nd.

Tournament rules:

1) The tournament will consist of two stages: group stage + playoffs.

2) The host organizes a specific game and is responsible for it. If after a week the game remains unplayed, then a technical defeat is awarded to the host. If his opponent does not show interest in the game, tries to avoid it, repeatedly fails to appear at the scheduled time, etc., the host must inform the organizer, who will investigate the circumstances.

3) The first round lasts until February 10th; exactly 1 week is allocated for each subsequent round.
After the game has been played, the host must provide a report on its completion:
(Sample report for the first stage) "Player1 def. Player2 *overall score*" (it is desirable to give at least brief information about each battle. Be sure to indicate the races that were assigned to you)

The second participant must confirm the result, after which it will be accepted by the tournament organizer.

4) Games in the general group are held on a calendar basis. For each victory in the arena, 1 point will be awarded; for a loss, 0. That is, you can score up to 4 points in one game. If a player surrenders with a score of 0-3, i.e., the winner automatically receives the 4th point and the overall score of the match will be 0-4.

5) It is forbidden to edit the arena in any way. A player will be disqualified from the tournament if such a violation is detected.

6) The use of cheats is also forbidden.

7) Both players choose their race randomly.

8) The settings for the map are as follows:
Difficulty - "Master", time per turn - 15 min.

9) Having gathered all the proposed armies, the player must go to the arena on the first day (at most on the second, if he does not have time).
The order of attack in battles is as follows:
In the first battle, the non-host attacks; in the second, the host; in the third, the non-host, etc.
10) It is forbidden to send scouts to identify the troops/artifacts/skills of your opponent, as well as to disrupt the effects of potions.

11) It is forbidden to develop one hero in both quest houses.

12) The general scheme of behavior on the map is as follows:
a) In the city tavern, the first hero (any) is hired and developed in one of the two quest houses.
b) In the tavern outside the city, a second hero (also any) is hired and developed in the second quest house (do not forget to separate the newly hired hero for development)
c) Go along the roads and join your army.
d) Choose one of the two sets of artifacts.
e) Make the necessary arrangement and go into battle! (the correct exit from the portal at the top).

It is not recommended to build anything in the castle.
All buildings on the map can be used.
The level 1 dwelling near the castle informs you about the race of your opponent.

Tournament schedule:

- Players will be divided into two groups. Matches in the group are held according to the Bo4 system - 4 duels.
- Up to 2 restarts are allowed for each game. It is necessary to take a restart before completing your turn on day 111.
- Players host the game in turn, but do not change during restarts. The first game is started by the player designated according to the draw.
- Playoffs are held according to the Double Elimination system. Games in the playoffs are held according to the Bo5 system - up to 3 wins.
- From each group, 3 players go to the playoffs. The top two players from each group enter the upper bracket, and the players who took 3rd place in their groups enter the lower bracket, where they will play against the losers in the semifinals of the upper bracket.

The map was created in the Equilibrator editor, so it simply won't run on Vortex.

It seems I'll have to put the project on hold until it's needed.

The Arena, as far as I remember, is good. I don't recall any obvious imbalances. We need more players. We should bring players here from the portal.
