Divine Journey

Scales, I knew it!
- Damn it!
After Reynold rushed to Hostor's cage, the latter leaned heavily on the bars with his shoulder, trying to make it easier for his comrade.

Revan is trolling us.

They managed to hold the cage and prevent it from sinking, but they couldn't move it; the steel cable kept it at a close distance.
- Ha-ha-ha, you're much more interesting than you appear, - the man carefully examined the couple frozen in that position, - perhaps I'll even give you a small hint, - the torturer pointed to one of the levers on his table, - the key to saving the mage, - he headed towards the exit, and before the door behind him closed, the last words were heard, - oh yes, I wouldn't advise you to shake the cage: the bottom will collapse.

We can wait another half hour for mana regeneration for the Melting spell.

- Listen, I have a lock here in my pocket, from my cage. I suggest you throw it so that it moves the lever, - Reynold said with effort, holding the mage's cage.

Hahaha! The plan isn't great, but there's nothing else we can do...
Redram easily took the lock from Reynold's pocket and straightened up. The task ahead was not easy, but there was no time to waste. After spending about ten seconds concentrating and calculating his strength, the mage threw the object at the indicated lever.

The available dexterity was enough to carry out the plan; the lever moved to a different position.

- Should I let it go? - asked Reynold, still not quite believing in his luck and trying to hold onto the cage.

I'm caught, may the Abyss take me! Redram smiled triumphantly, but then he stopped himself. That is, screw you, Abyss, you won't take me!
- Let me go, - Hostor nervously chuckled and gripped the bars with his hands.

Having released the cage, Trist sighed with relief and began to stretch his arms. After a short rest, he headed towards the shelves with potions, hoping to find notes there indicating the exact location of each potion.

Reinhold lowered the cage, and it hung motionless.
In the cabinet with potions, he found more than forty unlabeled vials and bottles.

- Damn those lunatics, - Reynold muttered to himself, and began searching nearby for notes or anything else that could replace them. "They must be here! These crazies can't possibly remember the effects of all these potions by heart!"

Hostor sighed in relief. - That was close... Thank you, Reynold. Redram tried to open the door, but it wouldn't budge. *Hmm.* - Can you help me with the lock?

- Damn those lunatics, - Reynold muttered to himself, and began searching nearby for records, or anything else that could replace them.

No records or anything remotely resembling them were found in the laboratory.

- No need for thanks. I'll try to help you with the castle, but let me rest for a bit; I've been breaking down cells all day, - Trust chuckled. Sighing, due to the futility of his search, Reynold tried to find the key to Hostor's cell in the room.
