I don't understand the purpose of this test at all. After all, the beta test has been officially extended. And this means that they will show some kind of staged, promotional version of the game, which has nothing to do with the actual game. It's just a clever marketing trick to show how great everything really is and how transparent we are. But in reality, even the magic system hasn't been released yet. And that means that work on it isn't finished. In my opinion, it's an attempt to put on a good face when the game is actually bad.

I think they have almost finished the game completely, and now they are polishing the details... Otherwise, they wouldn't invite outsiders out of fear of embarrassment... Imagine if the game crashes during testing or other bugs appear - that would be a failure of cosmic proportions ;)

That's why they will release a special, cut-down version instead of the full Heroes game. It will be fully completed and debugged. It will have almost nothing in common with the main game, except for the graphics and possibly the interface.
They won't let beta testers play the full game. They're not fools.
This is a widely used practice. For example, all automakers use special versions of their cars for such tests. These versions share the body and interior with the mass-produced product, but the engine, chassis, and tires are slightly different. As a result, they create a good image before the start of sales.

So, you think they will release just one fully polished map for multiplayer, and that's it, and they won't even let you explore different factions in single-player mode?

Yeah, a guy wrote to me in a private message, he just registered on the Nival forum – that’s how he got invited :( (his nickname is stal)
He’s a worthy candidate, but apparently not in Nival’s opinion :(
