Among the story-driven mods, I enjoyed "Return of Mannimarco," which continues the storyline of the Mages Guild (because the ending for the Worm King was just too absurd). The mod is quite good, and finally, you can side with the necromancers.
However, when I played the mod, it was still unfinished; the mage branch was practically not developed, and there were no final quests for the Worm Order. I recommend it to fans of adventure quests.
