Resident Evil (also known as Biohazard) - I believe it is a well-known series of video games developed by Capcom.
Also, Resident Evil is a movie based on the plot of the series (it would be fair to note that the keyword here is exactly "based").
But about the movie a bit later; for now, let's talk about the games in the series.

The following information is a walkthrough description written by me and, therefore, contains partial plot spoilers.
Resident Evil 5

Chapter 1-1
We find ourselves in sunny, picturesque Africa, and are immediately greeted by the charming Sheva Alomar - our future partner (it should be noted that on the first two difficulty levels she provides invaluable help, which involuntarily makes one think about the wonderful development of AI, but alas, on "Veteran" and "Professional", the "partner" is more of a burden than any real help).

Having gotten slightly used to the controls, I head where the marker on the map tells me :).
There we get our first weapon, namely: the M92F pistol. Many players have said that it becomes useless after the first half of the game, but I disagree. At maximum upgrade, it has a hundred rounds in the magazine (in other words, practically requires no reloading) and also possesses the highest % for critical shots, which with proper handling makes it a wonderful weapon :).
Now begins the first small introductory battle.
Running toward the screams, we see a cutscene in which two Majini shove some kind of crap (a parasite) into the mouth of an absolutely healthy black man (funny that Chris and Sheva were idle at this moment); then you immediately realize that you can't help the guy and will have to kill him. And so it happens – without much effort, the newly minted Majini goes to join his ancestors.
Then things start getting interesting – jumping through a window, I immediately encounter a crowd of clearly unfriendly city folk :). Without even firing a shot, I ran in fear after my partner into the house.
Descending into a small tunnel via a hatch in the house, I expected something sudden. But it didn't happen; as it turned out, there were no enemies, and I was shooting at passing rats for nothing.
After a short cutscene and the execution of the man who gave us the weapon, Majini began to surround the house.
Running out of the house and huddling in a corner, I started firing back, mostly landing headshots. This continued for some time, after which this guy with an axe enters the scene:

I immediately started trying to shoot his head off, just like my other enemies (how naive :)), eventually he ran up and whacked me hard. ГГ started dying, but the brave partner gave a little injection, after which some amount of HP was restored (this was the first time someone put me into a state of "agony").
All the remaining time of this chapter was spent running away from that same executioner :D. Then Kirk arrives, and his formidable partner sends all the filth back to hell using a rocket launcher.
And that's how Chapter 1-1 ends :)

Chapter 1-2
It begins exactly where the previous one ended. After running a bit, we come across a broken ladder – I boost my partner up, and we see a key (which I failed to obtain during my first playthrough).
We run further – nothing noteworthy. We take out several enemies and see one of them dragging away a defenseless white-haired girl. Like a true hero, I of course rushed to help, after first finishing off a couple of scoundrels. We kick down the door and see another cutscene and the same girl.

She screams:
-Help me! Somebody help me!
The nasty Majini drags the girl back into the house, and brave I rush to help.
Then we are shown another cutscene where I immediately realize that the girl can no longer be helped.
Bang! Bang!
The pretty girl turned into a disgusting Cephalo (a Majini with some kind of snake-like thing instead of a head). She became my first killer (the pistol is ineffective against them). Loading back to the last checkpoint, I dealt with both the Cephalo and the ordinary Majini without any problems.
We move to the next area. There will be no enemies here, but we find a decimated BSAA squad. We go down in the elevator. Going straight, we come across a locked door requiring a key. We go further, find that very key, return to the locked door, and... the killer of the BSAA guys (the first boss) attacks us. After firing a couple of shots, I turned around and ran back. I activated the lever and ran into the furnace (out of stupidity) :D, and naturally got roasted :D. I immediately realized that the boss needed to be pushed in and roasted there. I managed this without much effort. We open the door with the key, go further, and finish the chapter.

Chapter 2-1
The chapter begins in a storage room. Here I find my first new weapon different from the pistol – an assault rifle. I gave it to my partner since I thought she would use it more economically.
Nothing interesting, except for a huge number of mines.
Then I go out onto the bridge. A truck comes around the corner and speeds toward me. The first time it managed to kill me. The second time, using "barrels," I was able to stop it. Further there was nothing noteworthy, only fierce battles and shooting dogs.
We arrive at an empty little village (except for one infected). We enter a house, take the key, and start the battle. At some point, a helicopter arrives which "sort of" provides help. Firing from a rocket launcher even when you are in the center of enemies. We take the S75 rifle and move further.
Having dealt with several waves of infected, we climb to the very top of the building.
We send our partner to the opposite building and support her with fire (using the same S75). Sheva will remove the lock blocking the way, and we will be able... to move further.
This is where the scariest monster in the game appears :D
Majini with a chainsaw...

The second NPC overall that I fear most.
Despite his not-so-formidable appearance, this guy kills in one hit, chopping off the main character's head.
I ran from him for a long time, shooting underlings along the way. At one point I thought "why do I even need to kill him? I'll just run further." I ran further – dead end (a locked door opened by a key held precisely by the guy with the chainsaw). And this piece of shit keeps running after us (and the passage is very narrow).
My last thoughts were:
"OH SHIT!!!"
He chopped my head off He killed me.
The second time it finally worked.

Chapter 2-2
The chapter begins by the pen of old railway cars. Here we are met by three groups of infected dogs and two tripwire mines. Having dealt with them, we climb onto the roof of one of the cars; there will only be a couple of crossbowmen. After dealing with them, I jump into a trolley... not noticing in time, I explode on a trap.
The trolley stops in an elevator; we get off it and then descend in the elevator.
GPS isn't working, the shaft is pitch black.
Without a flashlight, it's easy to get lost :)

Ahead we encounter only a couple of Cephalo and small fry.
Hooray! Light finally appears ahead; throwing away the flashlight, we activate the lever, run slightly forward and find ourselves in a lit hall. Things get hot here. Crossbowmen plus Majini dropping dynamite from above – unpleasant.
Together with my partner, I run into a small room where I start shooting all the villains. Having dealt with most of the enemies, I run out and kill the remaining ones.
We go to the elevator, which delivers us to the fresh air.
Here we meet Irving for the first time, who, of course, slips away :)
Quickly searching the boxes, I find an SVD, with which I take out most of the enemies on the street. However, once a freak sitting behind a machine gun beat me up.
Then begins a very long fight in the canyon – crossbowmen, dynamite-throwers and other crap.
Having dealt with everyone, we meet the boss – a sort of beetle-like bat the size of an elephant. The first time I tried to take it down for a long time – hopelessly. I even blew up all the mines. However, only then did it occur to me that by shooting at point-blank range or the head, I deal zero damage – it's necessary to shoot the "soft spot." Actually, the second time everything worked.

Chapter 2-3

The shortest and easiest chapter in the game. Getting into the Hummer, we sit behind the machine gun, simply shooting enemies the whole time.

Then they show us a cutscene where Ndesu (as I understand it, this is a modified El Gigante?) ruthlessly smashed poor Dave. We get behind the machine guns and try to take him down.

Chapter 3-1
I will not describe the first and at the same time main part of the chapter, as I don't remember the order of all my actions searching for stones and so on.
Finding myself in the village, I find a magnum - an excellent revolver, unfortunately, ammo for which is very hard to find. Then begins the running – a bunch of ordinary swamp Majini and two giant Majini (sort of three-meter guys with a helmet mask on their head, which, by the way, protects against any damage).
The first time I ran for a long, long time, then I decided to try not to kill anyone and just raise the bridge – I pulled the lever myself and sent Sheva running across the bridge. But... at the moment she was running across the bridge, I was hit – Sheva fell down.
The second time, of course, it worked.

Chapter 3-2
One of the most difficult chapters, in my opinion.
It all starts with a cutscene in which an alligator devours the corpse of a BSAA member.
Then we deal with two waves of infected, we go onto a raft ourselves, and the partner pulls the lever. Quite an adrenaline-filled scene – if you fail to press the necessary buttons even once, you'll become crocodile food.
Further we go to a bridge, pass through a cave, the Tricell camp, and end up at an oil refinery.
Having killed everyone and turned the small lever, we slightly reduce the fire coming from the pipes. This is where the difficulties arise – you need to climb two platforms where one Majini with a chainsaw will be waiting on each. In this episode, I was killed twice.

Anyway, I've had enough (also, note that I wrote this not for any purpose, but only because I love large and colorful posts ^_^) :)

Let's talk a bit about the movies (no matter how much I like them, I'll try to evaluate from a neutral point of view).

So, Resident Evil number 1.
If you don't perceive it as a movie based on the plot of the game series, it turns out to be a quite pleasant, average action flick. Pleasant for viewing by the whole family, from young to old. :D

Resident Evil: Apocalypse.
Again, a perfectly watchable movie if we don't perceive it as a Resident Evil movie. I even liked some episodes.
I want to give special attention to Jill Valentine.

Visually they did quite well (relative to the third part of course :))
But they got her character wrong. How should I put it, too much swagger perhaps. And besides, "game" Jill would never have said "Who the Fuck are you?" :)

Resident Evil: 3 – Trash. A rare kind. I don't know who called it a "successful sequel" to an already talentless movie.

What do we have?
Commonalities between the movie and the game:
A couple of similar names and monsters. Stolen... stolen names.
That's all, that's where the similarities end :)

Characters
(some briefly, just my opinion).

Chris Redfield – Hero with a capital H. Dull character – typical pampered soldier, which is why he's not exciting.

Jill Valentine – sweet, kind-hearted girl ^_^

Albert Wesker – my favorite character. A restrained, cold-blooded and cruel man.

P.S. Let's discuss :smile36:

I enjoyed playing parts 1-4. I will definitely buy the 5th one, but I haven't had the time yet! The game is cool! :smile20:

Here's why I never liked Resident Evil: the game always punished inattentiveness and carelessness with a rather brutal demise for the main character :D And severed heads by chainsaws (and sometimes claws, blades, talons...) are not the most unpleasant thing you can see in the game.
I would like to pay special attention to Jill Valentine.
Visually, she was made quite well (compared to the third part, of course).
But they made a mistake with her character. How to put it more correctly, she has too much swagger. And besides, the "game" Jill would never say "Who the Fuck, are you?"
I agree. A typical Hollywood female character, skillfully taking down zombies or other enemies. But in general, most of the female characters in the game are made exactly as they should be. The guys at Capcom definitely know how to please players, most of whom are male. And here's an example for comparison: By the way, the cinematographic cutscenes from the game are much cooler to watch directly in the game! So, if someone is going to play, it's better not to watch anything about the game on YouTube yet :) And I first got acquainted with the series... back in 2000. My father bought me a Sony PlayStation console around the beginning of school, and he sometimes played this game himself. The game, I must say, is not easy (now in modern games, you can set the easy level and only have to reload when you start the game again), and it's also terribly scary, so I mostly just watched, but always with great interest, and I still remember the most memorable moments of the game. And I already tried to play parts 2 and 3 myself and was more or less successful :) And they made them easier, starting to target the masses.

O God of Earth and Altar,
Bow down and hear our cry,
Our earthly rulers falter,
Our people drift and die,
The walls of gold entomb us,
The swords of scorn divide,
Take not thy thunder from us,
Take away our pride.

Ah, it's a pity that it was late. I didn't write even half of what I wanted to :D

If you liked the 4th one, then the 5th part won't leave you indifferent either :)

It's funny that after Alice appears, she takes a backseat.

I couldn't resist :smile43:

I encountered Resident Evil 3: Nemesis about four years ago, but I can't remember much. And I didn't even finish it :)
And on my current computer, parts 1-3 don't run :smile06:

P.S. Right now, I'm slowly playing through the Resident Evil remake, and I'm finishing RE 5 on "professional" (then I want to try to play it on hardcore, using only a knife and a pistol :D)
