The Dark Age - Тёмная Эпоха.
Darkness. Darkness everywhere. Cold streets flicker ominously in the dim light of old streetlamps. In some places, bonfires burn right in abandoned courtyards, right on the broken asphalt. It smells of hunger, poverty, ruin, and grief. Residents hide in basements like rats. No one here has seen the sun for a long time – it died for everyone, along with the happiness of the past that once existed here. And now there are only dirty ruins. Yet once it was so beautiful here, everything was filled with carefree life, until money finally clouded the minds of the "ruling lords." And the city was plunged into chaos. Now you cannot take a single step without fearing for your life.
-Mommy, is this the end?- asked little Nelly to the tired woman sitting beside her.
She smiled sweetly at her daughter, stroked her slightly matted hair and answered:
-No, sunshine, this is just the beginning…

About the Game
The game takes place in a new Europe, in a semi-ruined Paris. Control over this region is held by the "Neolife" corporation, whose headquarters are located right in the city. For the most part, Paris consists of dark slums where the poor huddle. There are also three more or less well-maintained districts where the middle and upper classes live.
The game features 3 unique groups: The Rulers, The Underground, and The Illuminati.
The Rulers strive to maintain their dominance and suppress any resistance.
The Underground tries to stage a coup and overthrow the ruling regime. Once they wanted to unite with the Illuminati, but realizing that the latter were only using them, they rose against them.
The Illuminati strive to seize power and rule with an invisible hand.
Game Rules:
• Nights last about 24 hours. The sooner all night actions reach the Mage Guild, the faster dawn will come. At night, no one has the right to write anything in the game thread at all, even in "deleted posts".
• Day lasts exactly 24 hours. In extremely rare cases, an earlier or later end of the day is possible.
• To vote for someone's execution, you must write in your message: "**execute %username%**". (the method of execution can be invented by yourself - within reasonable limits) - bold font is mandatory. If a player wants to change their vote, they must perform a vote cancellation procedure ("**Do not execute %username%**"), and only after the cancellation vote for another player (In 1 message you can vote once and cancel a vote once, or cancel a vote once and vote once). This is for the Mage Guild to make tracking votes easier. If you do not vote in bold, the vote will not count. Also, a vote will not be protected without minimal justification. If a player does not vote during the day, after the limit expires they are considered to have voted against themselves (this rule does not apply if the player voted and then removed their vote). If a player fails to vote 2 times in a row - a modkill or replacement is possible. If a player warns of their absence in advance - the situation is coordinated with the Mage Guild individually.
• Execution requires only a majority of votes. If a player reaches the "required" number of votes, they will still be hanged only after the end of the day and only if the votes do not change. Earlier execution can occur only if the decision is unanimous.
• If the majority vote "**Do not execute anyone**", then the day ends without any players being executed.
• All "double votes" are displayed only in the voting results and only if they belong to the majority.
• For the Mafia, decisions on who to kill and who to send on a mission are made collectively. If one of the mafia members is not Online, the other participants can make a decision without them, but they do not have the right to send that member on a mission.
• Each of the two mafias presented in the game has 2 ND.
• The Killer can plant 1 additional clue at the crime scene. It must point to them and be original (i.e., no clues of the "for the ultra-observant" variety). As for the complexity of these clues, there is a lot of freedom, but the Mage Guild still reserves the right not to accept a specific clue, with or without explanation.
• Clues about killers in reports are given based on the user profile (nick, avatar, signature, etc.). If the murder was unsuccessful, the killer will find out, but will not know why it failed. No clues are given for unsuccessful murders, except those declared by the killer themselves. Also, there is a hint about the role of the deceased in the reports.
• During the game, changing your nick, avatar, signature, and personal information is strictly forbidden. Therefore, update your profile in advance.
• Discussing the game outside this thread (i.e., in DMs, ICQ, etc.) is allowed only if you have a role that permits it.
• As soon as the news of your death/execution is written, you are gone. You no longer participate in the game. Stop writing. However, nothing forbids you from watching what happens.
• Do not edit your messages. Try to write without mistakes immediately.
• If you have the right to perform a night action – do it before the end of the night phase and the start of the day phase (send ND to me in ICQ). I will not wait. If you didn't make it – alas...
• From time to time, I will post the count of all votes for the current game day. Of course, this is important. For me and for you. Players are also allowed to keep a count.
• If you have questions regarding the rules or if something is unclear, please contact me in ICQ.
• It is forbidden to directly reveal your own role or the role of another player (if you know another player's role, don't shout it everywhere... be smarter, craftier...). This action will lead to immediate disqualification.
• Rule violations and being offline will be punished with a colorful modkill. If you signed up — play by the rules and stay active.
• Those not participating in the Mafia are forbidden from commenting on events until the end of the game. Well... at least do not comment in this thread.
• And most importantly… it's a game, after all. The main thing is that you have fun.
These are not rules, but requests. But please read these too:
1) If possible, send your ND to me in ICQ (including offline) to avoid some confusions that occurred in the last game.
2) Behave with restraint and follow the game rules. Do not leave a bunch of regular/deleted posts with comments, especially those who have died.
3) Do not constantly ask me in ICQ "where is the newspaper?" or "when will it be?". Besides being terribly annoying at times, it also interferes with writing and inventing clues, which sometimes affects the quality of the game.
4) Some roles might seem unpleasant to you. But it's just a role, which does not mean that the player themselves is such a person.
Technical points:
Due to the fact that I set up the spam bot clumsily (which I am proud of!:)), my ICQ ignores any authorization requests. Therefore, if you still want to discuss some game issue with me specifically using ICQ, just send a PM asking to be added to contacts.
The general order of ND is as follows:
1) Leader of the Illuminati checks status
2) Stalker blocks a character
3) Deputy checks status
4) Head of Security's men check status
5) Inventor sends a protective or observation bot
8) Deputy removes the leader's protection
6) Stalker kills
7) Head of Security sends a squad for blocking or protection
8) Recruitment of Illuminati
10) Killer kills
11) Pauper kills
12) Rebel Leader kills
13) Doctor resurrects

Role Descriptions:
Rulers:
Head of Corporation - Ernesto Geler, a 60-year-old cyborg. Ernesto is domineering, calculating, and ruthless. For 30 years he has solely led the corporation and, as it seems to him, rules the rest of the world too.
Features: his role is known from the start of the game. He cannot be killed on the first night. During the second night, he possesses 75% protection and inevitably kills the attacker. On the third night, protection efficiency drops to 50%. On the 4th night, Ernesto loses the ability to kill the attacker. Also, his vote is worth two.
ND: none
Weapon: rapid-fire pistol, 8 mm caliber.
Status: good
Head of Corporation Security - named Groterik. He, like Geler, is a cyborg. A rather gloomy personality who loves to weave intrigues and shroud everything in a veil of mystery.
Features: Groterik possesses extensive connections, control, and power, so his set of capabilities is quite broad. He can send a squad of fighters to a specific character, thereby blocking their ND for the night; he can use the same squad of fighters to provide protection to any chosen character (the attacker will not die); or Groterik's fighters can check one of the characters. Any of Groterik's possible actions are carried out even if he himself is killed that night.
ND: blocks, protects, or checks the status of a chosen character.
Weapon: 9 mm pistol
Status: good
Doctor-Scientist - Londa Bishop. She decided to maintain a fully human appearance and did not resort to nanotechnology and cybermedicine – i.e., she is an ordinary person. Bishop is a kind, responsive girl; she sees no difference between rich and poor and is therefore ready to help anyone in need.
Features: none
ND: resurrects a killed character
Weapon: none
Status: good
Inventor - Alfred Dougherty – a young cyborg. In childhood, he lost both legs, but noble birth allowed him to pay for the operation to replace the lost limbs with implants. After this, Dougherty decided to dedicate himself to science and now works tirelessly on various inventions for the good of society. At night, however, he likes to test his inventions.
Features: He can monitor a chosen character or protect them without leaving his home. If both Dougherty and the character he is protecting are targeted for murder on the same night, the protection does not work (no one to operate the security bot) (this also applies if Dougherty is resurrected at the end of the night).
ND: monitors a chosen target or protects them (bot kills the attacker).
Weapon: the character has no weapon. The security bot is armed with a small-caliber machine gun.
Status: good
Deputy Leader - Vincho Clock, a truly gloomy personality. He is malicious, greedy, and damn cunning. For several years he has sought to take Geler's place, but for now, he can only wait humbly. Currently, Vincho serves as a kind of corporate spy.
Features: Starting from the 2nd night, Clock can remove Geler's protection. If Geler is killed (with or without Vincho's help), Clock will take his place. His vote will be worth two, he will remain unknown, but he will have no protection.
ND: status check or blocking Geler's protection.
Weapon: none
Status: bad
Adventurer - Ludvik Stegerti - a young and extremely callous person. Loves to weave intrigues and conspiracies, as well as distort facts.
Features: during the day, after 12 hours have passed, he can take 1 vote from any living player who has not voted at that moment. The latter thus loses the right to vote on this day.
ND: none
Weapon: none
Status: bad
Officials – rich, influential people. But other than money, they are not remarkable for anything.
Features: none
ND: none
Weapon: none
Status: good
Underground (paupers):
Rebel Leader - Josef Gladish. The only one among them who owns his own home. In the corporation, he leads one of many small research departments – this is his cover.
Features: Thanks to his cover, he ignores the protection set by Groterik.
ND: murder
Weapon: 9 mm pistol
Status: good
Stalker - Daphne Serge – a young and ambitious lady who holy hates the corporation. She is skilled with cold weapons and possesses very beautiful looks.
Features: silent murder - she is not noticed by the observer.
ND: murder or blocking a character
Weapon: pair of short blades
Status: bad
Pauper(x2) – impoverished, broken people who have sworn to avenge all their troubles on the corporation.
Features: none
ND: murder
Weapon: 9 mm pistol
Status: bad
Illuminati:
Leader of the Illuminati - Samuel Gibbons. He is a wise, well-read man who has seen much in this world and decided to change it.
Features: thanks to extensive connections, he is able to find out a character's role in more detail. He does not act personally. He learns not only the status of the character but also their affiliation with one of the two groups. After Sherevye's death, he loses the ability to check statuses and engages only in recruitment (if he hits Groterik or Gladish, he dies).
ND: checking a character's status\recruitment (only after Sherevye's death)
Weapon: None
Status: good
Killer - Moses Eber – a cyborg. Performs all the dirty work for the Illuminati. He is very skilled in his business, largely thanks to modifications he made to himself.
Features: Ignores any protections except "Geler's".
ND: murder
Weapon: N-27 sniper rifle, 45 mm caliber; 9 mm pistol, army knife.
Status: bad
Recruiter - George Sherevye – a wealthy misanthrope. He is a very talented diplomat and knows how to persuade people perfectly. In his time, he was recruited by Gibbons and now serves as the chief recruiter of the Illuminati.
Features: can recruit any official, deputy, pauper, or Bishop. The recruited are not told about other Illuminati, do not change their status or side affiliation, but they must act in favor of their new employers (i.e., the Illuminati themselves decide how to use the extra vote or ND). If Sherevye encounters Groterik or Gladish during recruitment, he dies.
ND: recruiting a character
Weapon: none
Status: bad
Recruited Official - a rich and influential person lured to the side of the Illuminati. Possesses no special features other than knowing all the Illuminati.
Features: none
ND: none
Weapon: none
Status: bad
Note: a recruited pauper does not reveal the Illuminati to their own team and cannot kill on the command of the Illuminati. However, the Illuminati control their vote during the day. Also, if a recruited pauper goes to kill someone (regardless of whether it's an Illuminatus or a citizen), they report the target to the Illuminati. The pauper must not tell their team that they were recruited (i.e., they play a double game).
