Description: Every night, Kaoru sings and plays the guitar. During the day, she sleeps. And in the morning, from her room's window, she watches Koji, a surfer, waiting for his friends at the bus stop. They don't know each other, but she falls in love with him at first sight.
One day, she gets a chance to confess her feelings. Kaoru's sincerity and her heartfelt songs open Koji's heart. But the young man doesn't yet know the most important thing: Kaoru is terminally ill. She has a very rare disease; sunlight causes her allergies, and her skin becomes covered with burns. This explains her unusual routine, as she only leaves the house after sunset.

Reviews:
I just finished watching this pure, emotionally uplifting film. I started watching it because I had already watched five episodes with Erika, and I couldn't wait, so I decided to watch the film as well, especially since I had it. If I compare Erika to this wonderful singer, I would say that Erika is a true actress, and she conveys emotions through intensity. But Yui turned out to have amazing charisma. Her charm... her childlike joy (she reminded me of an actress from Taiwan, only I saw the same smile on her (Barbie)), all of this drew me into the love story, and I immediately believed in it. Why "Song to the Sun"? - For me, the answer is clear. Because the sun and its radiance for Kaoru are the light of love for the people who are close to her. Love itself is the "sun" in her life, which gives color and warms with warmth. Kaoru's entire life turned out to be sunny, bright, and colorful like a rainbow, despite the fact that in reality, ultraviolet radiation would be fatal. But who can tell me that the Sun is only ultraviolet radiation? It is much more significant "phenomenon" for the entire planet...
simply no words, AMAZING!!!
Excellent actors, a plot that isn't dragged out, beautiful scenery...
it's a pity that it all ended like that :(
Some frames...
