«NeverLand»

«Neverland» is a mysterious land, without an owner, and hiding many unique artifacts. It is a mysterious world, alluring and enchanting... Once you see it, you won't be able to resist the urge to take possession of it... So conquer it! Become the master of these lands... Lands that are still unclaimed... And then all the secrets of this beautiful world will be revealed to you... and all the treasures will belong to you... and only to you! Good luck, friends! And may «NeverLand» be conquered by you!

«Neverland» is a series of ongoing Online 2vs2 Tournaments in HoMM IV, taking place on different maps (depending on the stage), with the goal of clans conquering the lands of Neverland, each of which contains a unique artifact.

The Tournament is official!

The Tournament is held on version HoMM IV: Equilibris 3.51. You can Download it here.

You can connect via Hamachi (download) in the same subnet:

Registration: registration requires two players forming a clan, the clan name, and the clan symbol (emblem).

You can submit registration requests in this thread.

Rules

The game is played on the map set for the current stage, 2vs2 (clan against clan).

The first stage will be played on the map «PowerSpot»

You can play with the same clan in a row no more than 3 times (if 3 or more clans are participating).

Lands: Before the game, clans choose the land for which the battle will be fought. The choice is made by mutual agreement. If the clans cannot reach an agreement, the organizer has the right to assign the land.
The choice is made only from the available lands. It is forbidden to claim the land of a neighboring clan... (at least until there are free lands).

Bonuses: by winning, the clan becomes the owner of the land for which the battle was fought, and the unique artifact that is located on that land. This artifact will give some kind of bonus when used in the next game. Each of the received bonuses can be used by only one of the players in the clan. Only one bonus per player per clan can be used in one game.
Before the game, both clans must inform which bonuses they are going to use, so that the organizer can add them to the map and send the edited map to each of the participants.

Race selection:
The race is chosen by agreement between the players. If they cannot agree, the race is chosen by elimination from the list. Players can use a random race for selection.

Rules for completing a 2vs2 game: 2 pairwise battles take place, if the strongest side cannot be determined by their results, a third battle takes place between the winners. The player cannot replenish the army after the first final battle, but he can drink an immolation potion and resurrect the dead heroes. The player cannot transfer artifacts to his ally after the first final battle. The player who loses the first final battle can, at the last moment, flee to the castle to save his artifacts, but he cannot transfer his artifacts to his ally and attack enemies.

Scoring:
+3 points are awarded for a 2:0 victory, +2 points for a 2:1 victory, +1 point for a draw or a 1:2 defeat, 0 points for a 2:0 defeat.

In case of a disconnection or game crash, the last save of the game is loaded. Players must exactly repeat all their moves up to the moment of disconnection or game crash.

A technical defeat will be given for violating the rules in the game. For cheating (which is prohibited) - disqualification!

Organizers: Lu41k and СТРАННuK!

I wish everyone good luck! :smile02:

P.S.: In the appendix, you can download the World Map «NeverLand», the list of Bonuses, and the map for the first stage :)

Sincerely, Luchik!

I have a question and a request for the organizers.
1. Couldn't we choose more maps? All forum members who want to can participate. They would simply submit maps to you, and you would post the most suitable ones in the thread, and everyone (who wants to) would test them for a month.
This would level the playing field a bit. Because the proposed map is a bit specific. It has many diverse map features. It will be difficult for a player to understand everything right away. And the "Dungeon" players will have a huge advantage on this map:D, as will those who know it well.
If I'm wrong, please STRANNuK correct me;
2. Maybe we shouldn't limit it to just tournaments, but also include an offline addition. For example, one member of a clan could complete the offline campaign to build an army, and then another member of the clan could play the final battle with that army.
3. Will there be a limit on the number of games per clan? For example, two clans could play a series of 10 games and divide the territories between them, while others will only have time to play one game each:)

A 2v2 tournament on PS is, in my opinion, an overkill... There aren't that many people playing on the forum who know the map well... And playing it takes too long in that format. I don't know... 1v1 would be more interesting. More games, less waiting.

I also think that one-on-one matches are faster and more dynamic... :smile20:
Let's add an extra bonus for participating in the 2-on-2 format... because one game takes a whole week to play... and that's when people are quite committed :smile13:. And even for losing in a group game, points should still be awarded... to encourage participation.

There could be monthly points. The person with the most points is the winner of the month... the leader of the social competition! Something like "Mr. October" :smile10: or "Ms. January" :smile36:.

1 Can't we choose more maps? All forum members who want to can do this. They can just send you the maps, and you will post the most suitable ones in the thread, and everyone (who wants to) will test them for a month.
Maps can be chosen. According to the "Neverland" rules, this is a series of ongoing Online Tournaments 2vs2 in HoMM IV, played on different maps (depending on the stage). In this stage, we are playing Power Spot Allied; for the next stage, we will select another map. If there are any suggestions, we will gladly consider them.

2 Maybe we shouldn't limit it to just Tournaments, but also include the official expansion.

A 2x2 Tournament on PS is, in my opinion, too much... In fact, not many people play on the forum who know the map well... It's also too long to play in this format. I don't know... 1x1 would be more interesting. More games, less waiting.

The "Znoina Pora" tournament is not yet finished; the next 1x1 championship will be later. If the idea is generally liked, then we can launch similar tournaments in the official format and pair duels...
As for the 2x2 maps, I am sure that there is no 2x2 map that more players know than Power Spot Allied. Tron is an option, but it is played less often. Don't suggest Crimson&Clover.
LeSHiJ-MaX;202097
3 Will there be a limit on the number of games per clan? For example, 2 clans will play a series of 10 games and divide the lands between them, while others will only manage to play 1 game.
Such a limit already exists: you can play against the same clan no more than 3 times in a row (if there are 3 or more clans).
Lee;202138
I also think that one-on-one is faster and more dynamic...:smile20:
Give an additional bonus for participating in the 2-on-2 format... because
If we combine 1x1 and 2x2, it is not entirely clear to whom the land will belong after the victory of one of the pairs, and we will have to think hard about the rules. But these are just details.

Guys, I want to draw your attention to the fact that the "Znoina Pora" tournament has not yet ended; a small tournament on arenas will be held soon, and only then will it make sense to launch another 1x1 championship.

Whether it's too much or not, better or worse, is not the point. The goal of the tournament is not to force people to play 2x2 and determine the strongest pair, but to make people interested in these games, so that the players who play in pairs do not do it only for fun. This is an incentive for 2x2 games.

2x2 games are more interesting and you grow faster in them. There hasn't been such a tournament yet; let's see what happens.

I liked the maps, but "Deadly Siege" doesn't have any allies, but I guess it can be modified.
Zubr, well done :smile49:.

LeSHiJ-MaX, yesterday, together with this crazy group consisting of Stranger, Lu, and Lee, I started playing Power Spot. In this game, the army is built by recruiting units and through diplomacy, which is acquired on the first or second day (purchased). Overall, it's a bit complex, but I think it's enough to play it once to understand how everything works:)

Regarding the maps. When I glanced at them, I immediately fixed a few things, and I missed some others. Honestly, I uploaded it as a template for further editing, although "Conquest of the new land," in my opinion, is quite good even in its current version.

Unfortunately, no matter how you look at it, the map is too complex, with too many quests, and most players won't even understand many of its intricacies. My opinion of the map probably formed after playing with Oxy. On the 4th or 5th day, I was just starting to expand from my castle, while he had already captured 3 cities on his territory, and his army was simply amazing compared to mine. I would have preferred to play it offline one more time.
CTPAHHuK, how many times have you played it? Just be honest, and then find someone on the forum who has played it online, besides me and possibly Luchik.

Leshy, I agree! The map is quite complex and seems difficult at first glance :) but that's only at first :) After playing it a couple of times, you can easily figure everything out. The quests aren't that difficult. There's just a lot of randomness, and you can get used to it. :)

As for how many people have played it, I'll say that, firstly, an offline tournament was held on it this year. Accordingly, all the participants are at least familiar with it (that's 6 people). And CTPAHHuK himself got some people hooked on this map (including me :D). So there are people! :)

PS: We should still write a report about our recent game (CTPAHHuK/Lars vs LordZezuk/Lee) :D

Hello everyone!!!!! :smile02:
So, Zyb and I had a quick discussion and decided: :smile10:
Our clan will be called "PHANTOMS," and our emblem will be the same, even though it's already being used by various plagiarists, but we don't mind the publicity... it's all about marketing, after all... so, everyone should be afraid! :smile13: :smile13:

Hmm, what a great idea! I checked it out and read about it – I like all of this.

I was thinking that I should probably play too.

But now I need to find a couple of players – right?

And here,
Guys, I want to remind you that the "Hot Season" tournament is still ongoing, and soon there will be a small tournament on the arenas, and only then will it make sense to start another 1v1 championship.

I've heard about this arena tournament several times.
Is there a thread about it?

I've heard about this arena tournament several times now.
Is there a thread where it’s discussed?

Currently, we are testing the arenas, mainly for balance and other minor details.
As I mentioned in that thread, if everything goes well, I will hold a tournament on them, probably right after “Scorching Sands.”
