"A Nightmare on Elm Street," I think many of you have seen this horror movie, so share your opinion with others. In my opinion, it's just an amazing film:smile20:. Yes, I've always loved horror movies)).

By the way, it was also Johnny Depp's creative debut (my favorite actor)!

How about banning users for numerous errors in naming and polls?:)

I watched the trailers. Two or three of them. The film is just a film. A typical horror movie. I didn't find a suitable answer and just chose the last one.

Back in the day, the movie might have been good... But now, there's absolutely no desire to watch it. The film doesn't have any particular philosophy, depth of thought, or a complex plot, which means that time has definitely taken its toll... In principle, that's probably the case. Those who want to be thrilled should watch something like "The Ring" or "Saw," but definitely not Freddy Krueger.

A masterful film, with a very original concept within the genre, and filmed professionally without COMPUTER GRAPHICS... I really like it.

As a horror film, Nightmare isn't very good... it's not scary, except for a few moments. But it's interesting, and it's actually one of my favorite movies. ;)

As a horror film, it's not very scary... only a few moments are. But it's interesting, and it's actually one of my favorite movies. ;)

Ha, but can you name even one truly scary horror movie?! In my opinion, there aren't any! Although, it's hard to scare me anyway (unless I was 4 years old)). Yes, and it's just very interesting, haha)))

In general, for that time, the film is considered great. And the budget wasn't small either. And if it were terrible, they wouldn't have made 8 parts (including "Freddy vs. Jason")))

"The Ring," for example. "Pet Sematary" is a classic. "Resident Evil" (but not to be confused with it). I can't think of any others right now... but I'm sure there are more ;)
Also, the movie "The Others" is creepy... although it's not really horror as a genre.
"The Book of the Dead" – there are several of them... the one that tells three stories from a forbidden book.

by the way, I watched "Freddy vs. Jason". It was released later than all the other films in the series, but it was noticeably worse. There were a couple of cool moments, like when they lost the sleeping pill and then the guy got completely wrecked, but that's about it.

It is unlikely that you will be able to judge how scary a film is completely objectively. If you watch Freddy Krueger on TV through an old cathode-ray tube, where there are advertisements at every turn, the sound quality is terrible, and, as a rule, the TV is not turned up as loud as you would like, then you are guaranteed a viewing experience with a few exciting, but generally not very frightening moments. However, if you take a more or less modern film (like the aforementioned "The Ring"), sit in front of a huge plasma TV on a sofa, surrounded by a $10,000 home theater system, turned up loud enough to make the neighbors' chandeliers shake (although you can turn it down a bit :)), then I can guarantee that watching it will give you more pleasure than watching the same film in a regular movie theater. Of course, the first case is too bleak, and the second is utopian, but you need to understand that the viewing conditions can play a cruel trick on a truly scary film, turning it into just a beautiful production.

The movie is actually quite bad. I only have respect for it because the fifth part features the song "Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter" by Iron Maiden. I wonder at what point in the movie it plays. Now I want to watch that part specifically.

Ah, these movies never scared me, but I did like them. Although, in general, everyone has their own view of horror: some are scared, and some aren't very scared. Maybe some were scared before, but aren't now. Some are afraid of one horror movie, which is truly scary, while others have never been afraid, even of the scariest ones. Personally, I'm one of those who used to be a little scared, but aren't anymore:D.

Like any old movie, it's already past its prime. It no longer makes you jump in your seat or hide behind the couch. Ah, it brought back childhood memories. But overall, it's an interesting film, and as a good American horror movie, it features a villain who keeps coming back to life.
