The seventh offline Heroes 1 tournament – “Rivers End-not”

TOURNAMENT RULES

1. To participate in the seventh offline Heroes 1 tournament “Rivers End-not”, you must register on our website www.heroesworld.ru and also submit an application in this thread.

2. The tournament will be held on the Russian version of Heroes 1 from Buky. The save file will be generated on the Russian version 1.1.

3. The goal of the game is not to complete the map, but to develop the starting hero to the maximum possible level (exp) within 28 game days (i.e., you must save your game no later than after 1 month, 4 weeks, and 7 days).
The winner of this tournament receives a prize in the form of a medal (in the profile and under the avatar).
This tournament is ranked, so you need to earn your rating now, as at the end of the year the best player on our site according to the ranking will receive a separate prize in the form of a cup for the absolute winner, as well as an honorary certificate sent by mail.

4. The result will be evaluated primarily based on the highest amount of experience (exp) of the starting hero.
If several players have the same amount of experience, the best one will be determined by the sum of primary skills (attack, defense, magic, knowledge) INCLUDING WORN ARTIFACTS of the starting hero; if there is still no clear favorite, then it will be determined by the amount of mercury.

6. Send the save file to the email address VDV_forever@BK.RU

The submitted save file must contain the tournament number (7), the participant's number in the application table, the abbreviation of the tournament stage (REn - Rivers End-not), and the player's nickname.

Example:

7. The result of a player who played with violations of the rules will be annulled, and the player will be punished (BD reduced by 100 points).
The result of a player who used cheats during the game will be annulled, and the player will receive a lifetime ban!

8. Discussion of the tournament on the Internet is PROHIBITED during its course!!!
(Players who violate this rule automatically lose the opportunity to play in the tournament; their results will not be counted and will be canceled).

9. The tournament starts on August 13, 2008, and lasts until September 13, 2008 (inclusive!), Moscow time. The final results of the tournament will be announced on September 20, 2008.

10. After you send your save file, you will see in the application table that:

save accepted – indicated by a bold nickname.
save credited – indicated by a blue bold nickname.
save rejected – indicated by a red bold nickname.

Sequence of actions:

1. Download the save file.

2. Place the downloaded save file in the GAMES folder of your installed Heroes 1 game on your computer.

3. Load it and start playing at any time that is convenient for you, while remembering to make daily saves.

4. After reaching the last action (after which victory occurs), save again.

5. A detailed description of the tournament map is encouraged (not required). If there are any, the best ones will be published in the thread: "The exploits of our best heroes!"

6. Send this save file to the specified address (in the rules of this tournament).

7. Wait for the results to be announced.

The thing is, the map turned out to be surprisingly interesting, even though it's for the Knights. Therefore, I strongly recommend that everyone participate.

In Heroes 4, there's a wonderful cheat to create *.bmp from the game map. Is there a way to do something similar with Heroes 1 maps? I'm a complete noob in Photoshop, but the need to have the entire field in front of my eyes arises on such maps.

Romanuel - I haven't tried it, but it always worked. Press the Print Screen key, minimize Heroes, go to Paint (or another graphics editor), and press Ctrl+V (to paste your map).

Well, yes, you can do that by taking several screenshots and stitching them together, or using a spell to reveal mines, etc. Then, use PrintScreen. Otherwise, I don't even know how you could show everything in a single image; it would still be small. So, if anyone knows of other options, that would also be interesting.
And, just for fun, the second method is to take pictures of everything with a digital camera :) :) :)

:D :D :D There is no upgrade in the first game... in principle :(. But maybe that's for the better. :)
