Licensed version of the game. My system: 1024 MB RAM 512 MB DDR2 video memory (ATI RADEON HD2600 PRO GPU) DirectX 10 When loading the game, the system restarts. By itself. No errors are displayed, so I'm not posting a screenshot. What could be the problem? Is it possible that the video card type is not suitable (I specified it above)? Or did they sell me a pirated copy? In general, please help.

It’s unlikely that this is related to your hardware. It’s more likely some kind of system error. Tell me, do other 3D applications run for you? (i.e., games :) ) Have you experienced these problems before with Heroes and other games? I don’t know how to directly combat this problem, so I would try restoring the system if the symptoms appear with other applications. Otherwise, you can reinstall the drivers for the video card, the motherboard, and reinstall the game itself.

P.S. Do you happen to have a laptop? Unfortunately, Nival does not guarantee correct game operation on video card versions designed for portable devices.

P.P.S. A pirated game – unlikely... Or are there sometimes difficulties in distinguishing a pirated version from a licensed one?

Other games run perfectly fine, I've never had this issue before, and I don't have a laptop. I have no idea what's going on... I just read a similar post on this forum, but it was from a while ago. Someone replied to the guy, saying that the power supply might be too weak. So, I only have a 300W power supply, but the graphics card requires at least 500W! Could that be the problem?

The power supply could indeed be the cause. But what bothers me is that, as you say, other games work fine for you, which makes me seriously doubt that it's the power supply. So, what could it be then? Honestly, I don't know... As always, I'll suggest reinstalling the game, even though the chances are small that it will help... Next, I recommend trying to install the game on a friend's computer and see how it runs there. If everything works perfectly, then it's clear that the problem lies with your computer or your system.

If it's the tenth DirectX, then it also requires Windows Vista. And Heroes isn't optimized for Vista (or DirectX 10). Maybe that's the issue.
