I would like to know and discuss: What is your opinion on this skill of the Sylvan heroes? What are the nuances and ways to use it? And what is the position of this skill among others (irresistible magic, etc.)? In general... LET'S DISCUSS:smile12: :smile12:
Actually, it doesn't really help me; I don't use the "sworn enemy" ability, and I don't see any difference whether I have it or not. But how about the rest of you? Does this ability help?
Arch-Enemy is an excellent skill with many uses. It helps me a lot too... but I think it's not very useful at the start (you can't always find the right neutral creatures). I don't know why this skill isn't liked by everyone... that's why I created this thread!
Each faction has its own special ability;). Here's an ability that the Elves have – it might not be the best, but it still does its job perfectly. And those who can't make it work shouldn't say it's bad.
I haven't played much as the Sylvan faction; specifically, I completed the Faidaen campaign on "Warrior" difficulty, and that's about it. But while playing, I made full use of the "Nemesis" ability, and I'll even say that I probably wouldn't have been able to do much in the "Greater Vampire" mission without this ability. Three enchanted arrows, hitting not just three enemies, but many more, thanks to the meteor shower – isn't that great? With each turn of the Hero, you can almost radically change the course of the battle in your favor. Of course, you need to take care of the mana, but it's worth it. It's a great ability; I rate it 7 out of 10.
А в таверне тихо плачет скрипка, Нервы успокаивая мне... И твоя раскосая улыбка В бархатном купается вине...
Well, this Luck skill can definitely be compared to a successful attack... but if an enemy spellcaster uses their Luck skill, it's game over for the enemy spellcasters.
I don't know, I don't know. Everything I read above probably refers to an idealized map model, because in real conditions, you won't encounter many neutral units that the enemy will have... Will it be easier to clear out mobs? Probably not, it's rare to find the same mobs on a map... Even if they are the same, mobs of different levels are rare, but if everything works out, then this ability is just super-duper... And if you combine it with Anven, then the result can be described with one word: disaster...
And also, a sworn enemy allows the hero to use a poisoned arrow, for example, imbued with chaos, plus a rain of arrows. Some mages might even be envious. If you find a tome of darkness (which is rare, of course), then it's game over... 3 berserkers are a force to be reckoned with.
This ability is excellent if you know how to use it: in battles, it can easily eliminate 3 units... it has helped me many times; I remember once, I was playing as Sylvan against Necropolis, and the Lich, Undead, and Vampire were all eliminated in one moment. Without these units, the losses could be many times less... but I don't play as Sylvan very often... At first, I agree, it's the most useless skill...
And also, a sworn enemy allows the hero to use a poisoned arrow, for example, along with a rain of arrows. Some mages might even be envious. If you find a Tome of Darkness (which is rare), then it's game over....3 Berserks = intense.
But that's not the case. Look, a poisoned rain of arrows isn't that great because you might have 4 units as enemies - let's say it's a Death Knight, an Archlich, a Zombie, and a Skeleton Archer - and casting a poisoned rain of arrows will waste mana on the archers and zombies. If all 4 are high-level, then yes, it's effective. But on low-level enemies, it's better to cast a cheaper curse.
P.S. Try casting a triple Berserk))) You'll see what happens...

By the way, about the Berserk – I didn't even think of that... good idea.
A sworn enemy – that's original. Personally, I only rely on the "Avenger" in the final battles or before very tough neutral creatures.
For example, I try to find the units I need on the map and eliminate them right away so they're in my list.
In the late game, the Academy's troops have a high initiative (due to their mini-art), and when it's time to unleash a barrage with Berserk, my troops will be right next to him. So, what's the point of him then (also regarding the meteor strike)?
