IMO, X-Fire is much better than Hamachi. Oh, you have no idea what X-Fire is? Well, let's start:
Q: What is X-Fire???
A: It's a program specifically designed for gamers. It's very similar to Hamachi, but with more features. The whole world uses X-Fire, and it's also gaining popularity in our country.

Q: How is X-Fire better than Hamachi??:smile45:
A: In every way...:D. Here are just a few examples:
1) In Hamachi, players join networks with passwords and are limited in the number of players. In X-Fire, there are no restrictions at all.
2) In Hamachi, someone might interrupt your game with a message on ICQ or Hamachi itself, asking to play. In X-Fire, you can always see if someone is already playing.
3) Do you have a lot of game shortcuts on your desktop and don't know where to put them? X-Fire can find all your installed games, and you can launch them through it. It's very convenient and compact.
4) You can play with people all over the world, especially since "Heroes" is a turn-based game and less demanding on connection speed.
5) Hamachi has a boring interface, while X-Fire has as many skins as ICQ.
6) In general, use it and see for yourself.

XFire may be "IMHO a cool thing," but I use Hamachi, and I don't consider myself a dinosaur. And in general, before apologizing, think:

I figured out how to launch the game through this Hamachi. However, it seems that the main feature of Hamachi – the ability to play with indirect IP addresses – is not available. That's why I uninstalled this program a long time ago.

I'll say it right away – I'm a dinosaur... I've seen so much in my life, it's almost scary... people don't live that long. :)

I've tried a bunch of foreign systems like X-Fire. :)
The biggest problem with these programs is that you can't play with someone who has a bad IP address!

And Hamachi was specifically created to solve the problem of indirect IP addresses by creating a LOCAL (not global) network!

And programs like X-Fire, with their cool and (sorry) usually buggy interface, aren't really needed for those who have a direct IP address – you find an opponent on ICQ, find out their IP address, and they create a game.

The advantage of a community like X-Fire is that you can find opponents from other countries and try yourself out on non-standard maps... otherwise, everyone plays almost the same map and thinks they're the best. ;)

I am glad that you are trying to find new ways to play Heroes with 2 or more people located at a distance from each other.
But this needs to be done differently; simply promoting it won't help.
If you want to benefit all participants of the portal, then make everything clear for everyone.
My thread can serve as an example, with instructions on how to install and describe solutions to common problems encountered when working with the program.
We look forward to seeing detailed instructions!
