Posts from Proxy is not participating.

Hello everyone. I have the following problem:
The game is a licensed version (Hammers of Fate 2.1).
I want to play via satellite. I'm using the freecap_3.16 program.
In the settings, I enter the IP address SlonAx 127.0.0.1, port 1080.
I've tried both Socks 4 and 5.
I'm using EDGE (GPRS) for the terrestrial channel.
I connect to the game perfectly... but incoming connections don't work via satellite.
Please help... the satellite operator's support doesn't know.

It might be your firewall.

4.3 The game does not support working through an http proxy. The player will need a direct (real IP) or NAT (in most local networks) connection to the internet. In the case of a firewall, the player will need to open some ports:

6668 TCP (IRC servers (chat in the lobby))
From 40000 to 42999 TCP (various Ubi.com servers)
44000 UDP (CDKey servers)
45000 UDP (NAT server)
42500 UDP (Local CDKey port, can be set by the player in the game configuration files, "setvar net_ubi_cdkey_port = <desired port>", default is 42500)

If it's not the firewall, then you might be using some kind of proxy to access the internet. But Heroes 5 does not support playing through it. In this case, no one can help you. Unless you change your connection method.

If I understand correctly, I need to install a firewall and block all ports except the ones you listed? I looked through the Slocax (satellite proxy) settings and uncheck the box for the built-in firewall... data is now being sent via satellite, but for some reason, it's also being sent over the terrestrial line...?
