Fulqrum Publishing has released an update for King's Bounty: The Legend in the main Steam branch. Now, interface improvements, compatibility with modern systems and screen formats, and achievements are available without switching to the beta branch.
To celebrate the game's 18th anniversary, two achievements have been added: one is awarded for launching the game after the update, and "Titanomachy" requires defeating Ghea, Kraken, and the Spider Queen during the campaign. The first 20 players who fulfill this condition will be able to choose any game from the Fulqrum catalog.
Also, the soundtrack of the series and the original digital artbook are available for free on Steam, and collectible Steam cards have been added for The Legend.
Important for modders: the game now fully supports Steam Workshop. Mods can be downloaded through the workshop; developers separately remind about content moderation.
A contest is running until July 1st: you can leave your favorite King's Bounty story in the comments of the Steam announcement. 10 winners will be selected: 5 for the best stories and 5 randomly. Texts generated by generative AI will not participate in the contest.
For fans of the classic version, the Legacy branch has been preserved, but achievements do not work in it. Next, the developers started working on King’s Bounty: Armored Princess: its beta branch already includes QoL fixes and new unique achievements.
