Sounds more like you're buying a one-time effect that lasts until the first attack.
That's crap if so... It turns out some weakling can strip the defense, and against Ardash following right after, the town is left defenseless... Then let there be a choice: either use the cancel or defend.

But if it's the other way, then it turns into unbalanced nonsense where Florensan will pour a couple of actions into finances and calmly repel up to five attacks per turn, without any harm to the budget.

Money beats evil. Florenzan is a peaceful region. It doesn't want to fight anyone. The Lord made that clear. Gnaw at each other all you want, but leave Florenzan alone and everyone will be happy...

Well, I have no interest in a conflict with Florenzan either. And your Lord is a good one. But you must understand yourself that from a balance standpoint it looks ridiculous. Even at the bare price, it's a drop in the ocean for Florenzan. And with the discount it's 187.5 gold. Your capital produces 250x2 gold per action while the Lord is alive (and he'll live long, since you'll also be spamming Karnarez's defense on cooldown). Without upgrades. So it turns out that for the cost of one action from the capital plus some secondary Knight, you get de facto immunity to attacks. And only to those you can't repel. But if you can, the treasury will grow. Or if no one attacks. This doesn't look like an intentional part of game design, but like an oversight, given that your region's income far exceeds that of the others. Though, considering Kanamia's army of Knights, they could do the same there too. Most likely, they will. In short... I don't know, if I were Reven, I'd do with Santella's service the same thing he did with superior equipment.

It's not so clear-cut... There's Carnea with sabotage. So farming money with just Mantikaria could backfire. And Florenzan won't withstand all the maniacs at once... No amount of money will be enough... If we assume Revnland has taken all of Tezoth, imagine how many squads will rush into Florenzan? It never even crossed my mind to just farm money and buy off with Sithiika at the expense of everything else... Rather, the buyoff is seen as a counterbalance to Ardus.

That's crap, if so... So some weakling can knock off the defense, and against an Ardus coming right after, the city is left defenseless... Then let there be a choice: either use the cancel or defend.
But if it's otherwise, then it's a broken piece of nonsense where Florenzan will pour a couple of actions into finances and calmly repel up to five attacks per turn, without any harm to the budget.

You're hidden villains. Your lord will get offed, and Imperialism will join the ranks of those who really want to let the population screw themselves over.
- A full seven points! What's your name, brother? You know mine, but I don't think I know yours yet. Go on, tell me. Someday I'll have your back, and I'd like to know who I'm covering.
- You have not yet earned that knowledge, my lord Lester. First convince me that you are worthy of hearing it, and I shall share that private information with you.
- Cunning one. Then for now I'll have to give you a callsign, since I won't call you or think of you as "hey, you" — that would be impolite, — the knight visually takes in this man's image for the first time during the conversation, noting the finest details of his appearance, bearing, and posture in an attempt to discern his nature. - Archivist. There is something elegant in the sound of that word. Rising to his full height, he nods to the trio of foreigners: - But look at the hour, and there is still so much to be done. It was a pleasure meeting you, and I have a feeling this is not the last time we see each other. Until we meet again, good sirs, and I wish you success in preparing for your campaign.
Upon the conclusion of the event, with the firm and confident gait of a man who knows his craft, he makes his way toward the exit, so as to reach his squire and cross-check the list of locations in his head — which of them have already been visited over the last hundred pages?
