Hello everyone, I've encountered a problem: I used to play Heroes of Might and Magic V on Windows 7, and everything worked perfectly, with no issues. But when I switched to Windows 10 and decided to download Heroes of Might and Magic V again, I encountered this problem: In the main menu, the game doesn't remember the settings I set (it constantly resets them). In the game itself, the problem is with the camera; it doesn't zoom out! I've searched for a solution online but haven't found anything. Maybe someone here can help me figure out what the problem might be? I'm a big fan of this game, and I'd really like to relive my childhood and enjoy this wonderful nostalgia again.

Try deleting the profile files from "Users/Name/My Documents/My Games/" and creating a new profile; temporarily back up your saves, then put them in the folder of the new profile.

I have some thoughts on the described problem. On Windows 10, there's confusion with permission allocation (I've mentioned this before). You installed the game with administrator privileges. You launch the game by clicking on the shortcut, which uses user privileges. Consequently, all changes within the program, including settings, are only temporary, lasting only during the game's runtime. Try launching the game with administrator privileges (right-click, and in the menu that appears, find that option). But, this is just a suggestion, like trying to diagnose an illness from a photograph.
