Introduction

Do you love the fifth installment of Heroes? If so, you've probably already heard about a mod called Universe. It's a tournament balance mod for competitive play, created by Vadimka Tgame and VeryDobro.

To play, you will need Heroes of Might and Magic 5: Tribes of the East.

 

There is also a very popular version of Universe within a niche community called Chebovka, created by Cheba. You can watch a review of it, and the video description contains a link to a Discord server with everything you need to play:

The Idea

Now it's time to talk about a new, groundbreaking project of my own creation. A new word in modding for the fifth installment, based on Universe.

I present Yoba_mod version 1.0

It's simple.

Note: the changelog does not display changes to creature strength and experience gained from killing them. All changes are described relative to the vanilla game.

To install, place Yoba_mod.pak in the Heroes5\data folder (make sure this folder belongs to the Tribes of the East 3.1 version).

And H5_Universe.exe in the Heroes5\bin folder (make sure this folder belongs to the Tribes of the East 3.1 version).

Only launch the game through the Universe executable, H5_Universe.exe.

Does the mod work on Windows 7? The game itself doesn't work on Windows 7.

I don't think it's a Windows issue. I have Windows 7 on one of my computers, and I tested everything on it. What error message does the game display? Maybe you just got an unstable version of Heroes?
