Hi everyone. I think some of you have already encountered this. It's the official game from Ubi, and while *Hammers of Fate* runs fine, the main game and *Tribes of the East* don't launch at all, which is strange. The intro videos play, then it freezes on a black screen and crashes after a few seconds. I've already tried a bunch of solutions from the internet. I've tried all the compatibility mode options, added it to DEP, added it to antivirus exceptions, installed an older DirectX and C++, enabled older version components, updated the drivers, updated Windows, and tried launching it through Ubisoft Connect and directly through the .exe file. I'm trying it on a laptop with a 2560x1600 IPS display, Intel Core i7-12700H (6 + 8 cores @ 2.3 GHz), 32 GB of RAM, a 1000 GB SSD, and an 8 GB GeForce RTX 3070 Ti for laptops, running Windows 11 Pro. Has anyone else solved this problem? I don't know how to fix it anymore.

The game crashes for me too, but rarely. I hope that in the future we will be able to play Heroes 5, because right now, the newer the system and hardware, the worse it works with the game. Maybe you have a problem with the game's resolution; you can change it without launching the game, using Notepad.

Unfortunately, the newer the operating system, the less support there is for older components. For example, starting with Windows 11, the DirectX 9c SDK packages, which the game uses, have been removed, and they need to be installed separately...

Set up a virtual machine, install Win7 on it, and play the game without any issues. Your hardware will easily handle such an old game. Running a ten-year-old program on modern operating systems is not very efficient. This is for hardcore fans and connoisseurs of unusual solutions.
