Situation: I have a pack of files in ogg format. This is one of the three formats that the map editor accepts for export (mp3, wav, and ogg). When exporting sound files, the editor creates files without an extension in the bin/Sounds/ folder, with a hex uid in the name. However, the content of these files is still audio, and manually renaming them to ogg/wav/mp3 format allows you to play the track (or, to be precise, most of the files are described as wav format). An xdb file is also created with the sound parameters and a reference to the uid, which the game uses to find the track itself. Due to this file structure, I used a program I wrote to convert ogg files from my pack to the bin/Sounds/ folder, keeping the uid the same as in the original (and also without a file extension). At the same time, xdb files for the sounds were generated.
Problem: When trying to play the .(Sound) files of my sounds, the game gives an error "cannot load 3D(2D) sound" - this is specifically an error when playing the uid file from the bin folder. When I insert the uid of some original sound into my xdb, it starts working, which means something is wrong with my created files in the bin/ folder. However, when I manually rename them to an audio format, all tracks play, and when I export my original ogg files through the editor, they also work. But the ones generated by the program do not. If you know what the problem is or what the peculiarity of the uid sound files created by the editor is, please let me know! And if you create sound files manually by directly renaming audio tracks to uid files (there was such a user on the forum), please write what initial format you use and if any additional steps are required.
P.S. There are 4198 audio tracks, so manual export through the editor is out of the question
