Guys, maybe we should just give up? If they agree to the previous terms, we can level up Ilka through Mira. Otherwise, I feel like we're heading for a wipe. Well, maybe Mira will level up and win a statuette.

I was going to ask this morning if you guys are already dying here, but I decided not to make things worse.

It was clear almost immediately. With three of those types in the previous battle, when using magic, the characters fought for a very long time. And here there are more of them, and they are stronger. Is it frustrating to lose items? Yes. But it seemed to me that losing all the characters and ruining both quests, including the main one, is even more frustrating. Or, if you look at it very optimistically, ruining both quests and losing half the group, in addition to companions like Lance or Pizhma. Let's say, at this stage, we can still revive Ilk with restoration, but later he might have other competitors with even lower stats. And I won't even mention Nao – with the damage from enemies and low defense, her only hope is an experimental first-aid kit, if someone can reach her.
So, is it impossible to win after all? Is it a scripted event with overpowered, heavily geared rambo-bandits in top-tier gear? Where elite soldiers die in one hit, while the bandit only takes -20 HP per hit.
Well, look at that, Lock. Each of these bandits has 19+ evasion (meaning even the most accurate attacks have a 50% chance to miss), while their accuracy is 15+. The damage from an attack can take down any character in 1-2 hits. At the same time, they each have 18 defense and 200+ health, meaning only Pyzhma can reliably take them down in 2 successful actions. But Pyzhma will weaken as the number of bandits decreases, until she herself is taken down by a random hit. Mira can take them down in 2 actions (including reload time), or a rifle can take someone down, but the pistol's effectiveness is tied to a 10% critical hit chance. Jürgen can take down some of them in 2 successful hits, but the chance of missing is 66% or higher. Airlys or Lansu need at least 3 hits. Tao will take a very, very long time to take them down without critical hits. Perhaps the only thing that can somewhat balance the situation is Nao's mirror, but the chances there aren't very high either (50-60%). But Radis has roughly the same chance of healing one of the characters, if he lives that long. It's not that defeat is guaranteed, but the odds are not in our favor, and it's unlikely that many characters will survive to this hypothetical victory. Because, you know, balance.
