Posts from Heroes of Might and Magic V: Tribes of the East (Steam license) is lagging.

I recently bought a license on Steam and wanted to play. But I encountered a problem with terrible slowdowns and lags. The game and its sound are lagging. The game is running on Windows 10.

Please help! I've been struggling with this problem for 2 days and can't fix it.

The file directx_Jun2010_redist.exe will be downloaded. - You need to place it in a folder and run it, as it is a self-extracting archive, so you need to specify the extraction folder; it is best to specify the same folder as the default! After extraction, you need to run the file DXSETUP.exe as an Administrator!

Try cleaning your computer with the CCleaner program; it sometimes helps with similar problems.

By the way, you can also put all the DirectX .dll files in the game's bin folder – start with d3d9.dll (attached – you need to unpack d3d9.zip) and so on, so that the .exe file unambiguously uses the libraries from DirectX 9.0c!

And also, does it only lag in the main menu or in the game as well?! If the answer is yes, then there is a mini-mod attached that disables the main menu... unpack the ascetique.zip file and place the ascetique.h5u file in the game's UserMODs folder!

The problem is solved! Today, I was cleaning the dust from my PC and noticed that the cable from the motherboard wasn't fully inserted. I inserted it, and everything is now running smoothly.
