Lol. It looks interesting.
Most of the models have been ported very carefully.
At the same time, you can see how the models from Heroes 5 would look in a more advanced graphics engine. Moreover, the author hasn't really bothered with shaders yet; there are no bump maps or specular highlights. In short, this is the most basic version of what could have been done, and it already looks much better than in Heroes 5.
But, as I think, this project is unlikely to "go far" in the modding community for Mount & Blade. Porting models is, to put it mildly, not encouraged. On ModDB, everyone doesn't care about anything, but on the official TaleWorlds website, users will start arguing, and moderators may even ban people.
Although, of course, anything is possible. In any case, good luck to the author with his endeavor. It looks interesting. We'll see what happens.

Notably, this mod is very new, and relatively little has been done yet, but there is already quite a lot of attention around the mod, compared to projects for Heroes 5. For comparison and clarity, I will add some numbers.
The mod from the top of the topic is a mod for Heroes 5 for Mount & Blade: Warband; it has 37 "subscribers." It has existed since approximately the end of April this year. About 10-15 models have been ported; the mod is in the early stages of development.
My mod, which adds neutral creatures from Heroes 7 to Heroes 5 (the link to ModDB is in my signature, if you need it).
I started working on it around February this year. The mod adds 10 creatures. The mod has been released. It has 4 "subscribers" (lol).

A mod that adds the Naga faction to Heroes 5; it has existed since approximately February 2014. The mod has been released and has undergone several updates. Within the framework of the mod, 21 creatures, several heroes, and buildings have been added. The mod has 21 "subscribers."
https://www.moddb.com/mods/homm-5-chaos-theory
A mod for Heroes 5, "Chaos Theory," which replaces the creatures of the Empire, Demons, and the Undead. A lot has been done within the framework of the mod. It has existed since approximately May 2015. Several versions have been released, and the final version is still under development. The mod has 67 "subscribers."

Heroes 5.5. Does this mod need an introduction? As far as I understand, 5.5 is a global, comprehensive mod that edits and adds some game mechanics and balance. There are not many visual changes, but the "feature" of the mod is something else. The mod has been released but is still being updated/improved. It has existed on ModDB since approximately December 2015. The mod has 260 "subscribers."
It seems there is no problem, right? Some even have more, right? But you must understand that in terms of audience reach, 5.5 is the
best that mods for Heroes 5 can achieve now. Let's compare it a little with mods for Mount & Blade.
https://www.moddb.com/mods/sparta
A mod about Sparta. 400 subscribers.
https://www.moddb.com/mods/rome-at-war2
A mod about Rome. About 1500 subscribers.
Mods for franchises look even better in this regard.
https://www.moddb.com/mods/a-world-of-ice-and-fire
One of the mods for Game of Thrones (there are a whole bunch of them). More than 2000 subscribers.
https://www.moddb.com/mods/swconquest
A mod for Star Wars (I worked on the development team for a while). More than 3000 subscribers. The mod has been nominated for local awards several times; whether it won or not, I won't lie, I don't remember, to be honest.
This is just food for thought. In my opinion, all this once again proves that mods for Heroes are no longer needed by anyone.
In short, our "ship is sinking," guys.
P.S. I understand that this is just a selection from one site, etc. But in reality, ModDB is relatively representative in this regard because it is a site for mods in general, and not a site for a specific game.
You can also compare, for example, mod groups on VK, or the attendance of sites dedicated specifically to modding a particular game. The picture will not be better for us (it will actually be worse).
