Reasons for a player to be excluded from the tournament:

- fact of violating prohibitions in this tournament;
- rudeness, public insult of the organizer, judge, or tournament participants.
Replacement of tournament participants is not allowed.

1. Games are played on the latest official version of the game. Currently – HoMM V: Tribes of the East 3.1, using the Tournament Edition mod - description thread (hereinafter, TE), download mod.
By mutual agreement of the players, the game may be played using the PEST-mod (simultaneous turns mod regardless of overlapping player interests). Instructions on how to install will be provided.
Warning: in case of using the PEST-mod, any claims or questions that may arise or have arisen among players regarding glitches, malfunctions, game outcome, judging, replays, and so on will not be accepted by judges.
The game can be played via GameRanger, Hamachi, Remobo, COMODO EasyVPN, and similar programs.

2. Since the game has autosave - it is recommended to save once every 3 days.

3. The tournament is conducted as follows.
Preliminary Stage.
Registered players are divided into 4 groups (maximum of 7-8 participants) depending on their affiliation with "Evil" or "Good" Factions. Group "A" plays against Group "D", Group "C" against Group "B". At this stage, every player from the "Good" factions must play every player from the "Evil" factions. Players can play as they wish, even all games in advance: the main thing is to have at least 1 active game per 1 week. In case of violation of this rule, a technical defeat is awarded to the player. Exception: the player showed activity and it was impossible to schedule a game due to the absence of an active opponent. Player color is determined by the players themselves. In case of disagreement, colors are determined by judges. The blue player starts the template and faction draft. Template selection is done via drafting from the full list of templates for each game according to the 1-1-...-1-1 scheme. Faction selection occurs before each game after template selection. Faction drafting is performed by sequentially crossing out one faction for oneself or the opponent until each player has only one faction left. The initial faction list consists of two "sets" of 4 "evil" and 4 "good" factions:
- "evil" Dungeon, Inferno, Necropolis, Stronghold
- "good" Academy, Haven, Sylvan, Fortress
Before the draft begins, the opponent must provide a list of their remaining races. For the next game, a player's faction list is reduced by the faction that the player used in the previous game. Each tournament participant at this stage cannot play with one faction more than 2 times.
Before starting the game, opponents are required to post information in the tournament thread about the played factions and duplicate it via private message in Discord.

Two players from each group who took the first 2 places among "evil" and "good" factions advance to the next stage of the tournament.

Main Stage.
Based on the results of the previous stage, 2 groups are formed depending on affiliation with "Evil" or "Good" Factions.
At this stage, every player from the "Good" factions must play every player from the "Evil" factions. The color is determined by the player who defeated their opponent in the preliminary stage. Before starting this stage, players are required to send lists of factions they will play to the judges via private message in Discord.
Moreover, if both judges "reach" this stage, then the judges must exchange lists before the other players do. If only 1 judge "reaches" this stage, he and all other players send lists to the judge who did not "reach" this stage of the tournament. If neither judge "reaches" this stage, the lists are sent to any of the judges at the players' request.

Final.
Players who took 1st place among "good" and "evil" factions based on the results of the main stage advance to the final. The color is determined by the player who defeated their opponent in the main stage. Before starting this stage, players are required to send lists of factions they will play to the judges via private message in Discord.
Moreover, if both judges "reach" this stage, then the judges must send them to any of the tournament players. If only 1 judge "reaches" this stage, he sends the lists to the judge who did not "reach" this stage of the tournament. If neither judge "reaches" this stage, the lists are sent to any of the judges at the players' request.
The final is conducted according to the b03 scheme.

3rd place match.
The 3rd place game is played between players who took 2nd place among "good" and "evil" factions based on the results of the main stage.
Moreover, if both judges participate in this match, then the judges must send them to any of the tournament players. If only 1 judge "reaches" this stage, he sends the faction to the judge who did not "reach" this stage of the tournament. If neither judge "reaches" this stage, factions are sent by players to any of the judges at the players' request.
The match is conducted similarly to the final but consists of 1 game.

When determining a player's position in each of the faction groups ("good" or "evil") during the preliminary and main stages of the tournament, in case of equal points, the following criteria apply:
- Berger coefficient;
- number of wins;
- number of draws;
- number of losses;
- an additional 1 game.
The additional game is conducted as follows:
Color is determined by judges via lot, template is random, and the faction the opponent will play is sent to the judges before the start of the additional game.

Throughout the entire tournament:
- template drafting is done from the full list for each game;
- faction or template drafting is started by the blue player.

In case your opponent does not respond to you, please report this immediately in the tournament thread. This may be used to issue a technical decision on the game.

If opponents cannot agree, then by default the game should take place either Friday evening, or Saturday, or Sunday. The judge must be notified of the inability to agree. He may personally appoint a time convenient for both or schedule the game for Friday evening, Saturday, or Sunday.
If:
- by the end of Friday evening (24h 00m Moscow time),
- on Saturday
- Sunday
the opponent was unable to start and finish the game within the tour deadline, a technical defeat is assigned to them. After two technical defeats, the player is excluded from the tournament.
If both players are unable to play from Friday evening through Sunday, then both players receive a technical defeat.
In exceptional cases (by judge's decision), an ODD may be appointed (but not necessarily). If a player does not show up for the game within 1 hour of the scheduled ODD, they are considered absent and awarded a technical defeat. If both players do not show up at the scheduled ODD, they both receive a technical defeat and are excluded from the tournament.

4. The use of any bugs, undocumented features, cheat codes, as well as unofficial programs and modifications is prohibited, except for the mods specified in the tournament regulations and programs that create virtual networks.

5. In case of connection loss or game crash, the last autosave is loaded; players are required to exactly repeat all their moves up to the moment of connection loss or single crash. In case of connection loss or crash on the first day of the game, heroes are randomly assigned again.

6. In battles between players, a stalemate situation may arise (where neither player can win). In this situation, the attacking side must retreat or surrender (at their discretion). If the Shackles of War artifact is involved in the battle, then upon occurrence of a stalemate, the battle should be finished in AutoCombat mode.

7. Each player has the right to 1 restart with map regeneration no later than the second day of the first week of the first month of play (the end of the day is considered the pressing of the turn transfer button, regardless of whether the opponent has completed their current turn or not); after the restart, the template is set back to the one determined before the restart.

Simultaneous turn disconnect or desync in week 1 - technical restart (except cases where both players are ready to continue the game)
Simultaneous turn disconnect or desync in week 2 and later - the game continues (except cases where both players are ready to start the game over)

8. "Red-rush" is prohibited, meaning an attack by red on the first day of the week with purchased growth (the red player may attack on the first day, but without purchasing growth).

9. Joining neutrals is prohibited. As an exception, joined units can be taken to be sacrificed in the pit or sold at the market, but not put into battle.
Goblins who joined the army after "Betrayal" triggers may remain in the army.

10. It is prohibited to use the world spell "Astral Gates" to jump from any zone into the opponent's starting zone if the portal/garrison connecting them has not been broken. It is also prohibited to use the world spell "Astral Gates" to jump into the opponent's adjacent zone and enter the opponent's starting zone in the same turn.

11. Pressing wait on Krag's first strike in battles with opponent heroes is prohibited; it is allowed against neutrals.

12. It is prohibited to build creature dwellings in a captured secondary home town. Necropolis is prohibited from using the undead converter on creatures from secondary towns.

13. Attention! LOADS are PROHIBITED in this tournament!!
Exception: mutual agreement between both players on the number of loads has been reached. If, despite the same agreement on the number of loads, disagreements arise among players regarding the outcome of the game (victory/defeat) due to loads, the tournament judge reserves the right to decide the outcome of the game.

14. The application for registration in the tournament is made using the automated system by clicking the "sign up for tournament" button.
The message must include data on all communication methods available to this player that they deem necessary to specify:
- Discord - primary means of communication!
- Viber, WhatsApp and similar
- I.C.Q., qip, Miranda and similar;
- private messages on HeroesWorld;
- Skype, phone;
- email address.

After this, send the automatically created message.
WARNING: a player who has not provided Discord account information (#000NickName) is not admitted to the tournament!!

15. Judging. A judge cannot judge a game in which they are simultaneously a player among a pair of players.
At any moment of the game (within the current game), from the moment of creating the room/lobby/network until the end of the game, the judge has the right to demand that the player demonstrate their screen in Discord. In this case, HoMM V: Tribes of the East 3.1 must be switched to windowed mode before the specified action (for correct display of information). After the player performs this action, the judge may ask to open any currently running program (including HoMM V: Tribes of the East 3.1) to view the contents of the program or information of interest to the judge.
In case of refusal by the player to perform the above actions (due to possible cheating, watching opponent's stream, etc.), a technical defeat is awarded to the player; they are eliminated from the tournament and receive a ban for at least 3 subsequent official tournaments on HeroesWorld and HeroesPortal resources.

16. For a win, 3 points are awarded, for a loss - 0 points, for a draw - 1 point
