They create new creatures and change the models of old ones (in HotA, the halberdiers and some others have new models). By the way, I remember some website where you could download modified creature models, although without sounds. They were installed in the game using MMArchive. Can you create your own creature?

Oh, I found some kind of guide! I'll try it now. If anyone knows other ways, please suggest them. If I manage to create my first creature, I'll post it.

Damn, it says there that you can't create new creatures, only replace old ones :(

Use the MMAchive program – it reads LOD files, which contain all the models, portraits, objects, and other files.
