If a war were to happen, whether it be a civil war ('the people' against the government or something else), a third world war without the use of nuclear weapons (in case a system capable of intercepting warheads with 100% certainty is developed, or the parties simply choose not to use them for fear of a nuclear winter), or with their use, what would you likely do and how would you see yourself in the given situation?

How do you see yourself in the current situation?

the main thing is that it's not in the ground :)

but overall, the question is too vague to answer with specifics. My actions will depend on who is fighting whom and why. If there is a side I sympathize with, I will most likely participate. If not, then if possible I'll remove myself from the situation; if not possible, I will either remain neutral and be friends with everyone, or fight against everyone.

2. I've gotten the impression that those at the helm of nuclear powers are often such psychos that they cannot calculate the consequences of their actions. So I'm not betting on the fact that nuclear weapons won't be used :(

I will reflect and think about how to avoid participating in the bloodshed. While I'm doing that, a local police officer will come with a couple of burly guys and offer me to pay my debt to the Motherland right here and now, or go to jail, because together they are stronger. I will agree, they will put me in a bus, then put me on a truck and send me to the front. The truck with me will be hit by enemy bombing, and everyone will die, but not me. I will only have both legs torn off, and during the operation, my right arm will be amputated. Then I will be sent home, to my mom, dad, and sister, and we will live happily ever after. We will win the war, by the way, but we will have to receive food rations for a couple of decades. Nothing, we will manage somehow.
While I was typing, I remembered that I have a "limited fitness" category and that my position states "computer operator," so, God willing, I might end up in headquarters and none of the above will happen.

We'll just sit in the base and play battle.

Most likely, I will stay quiet and not interfere. It is unlikely that the ideas of any of the sides will evoke such strong sympathy in me that I would go against my fellow citizens, and even risk my own skin.
