The administration calls these people "the active," "those who have firmly embarked on the path of correction." Of course, the inmates treat them badly. Traitors are treated badly everywhere, and considering that there is a war between the administration and the prisoners in every zone - a "cold" one or a real one - such an attitude becomes understandable. People become "goats" in different ways: some willingly, some are forced, some are intimidated. In some zones, newly arrived inmates are given quilted jackets with armbands already sewn on. Snitch
An inmate recruited by the administration to inform on fellow prisoners. "Snitches" often pretend to be nervous and difficult people, provoking fights and scandals. Guards burst into the cell to break up the fight, and – of course, by chance! – during the subsequent search, they discover something prohibited, such as a "shank" or preparations for an escape, etc. It is often difficult to prove malicious intent, and therefore prisoners are wary of those who like to show off their physical strength ("bulls") and instigators of conflict ("troublemakers"), seeing them as a threat to their situation.

If a person fails to pass the initiation, they are considered a paratrooper, and upon regaining consciousness, they find themselves in this place. A paratrooper is not yet a "rooster," but is also no longer a "man" (or a "boy" in the case of a minor). One can become a man at any time from the state of a paratrooper. One must pour a bucket of water over oneself, shout "Goodbye, toilet!" and try to pass the initiation again. A "rooster," of course, does not have this opportunity.

The modern struggle against "homosexuality" is not a conflict between homosexuals and heterosexuals, as the media portrays it. It is a conflict between two different versions of homosexuality – the Soviet and the Western.

The developed Soviet homosexuality is based on the camp male prostitution that was created during Khrushchev's time. Joseph Stalin had been in exile, and he understood the needs of prisoners well. Therefore, the women's and men's zones were located close to each other, within a couple of kilometers. Many memoirists testify that a normal (with the caveat about the abnormality of the concentration camps themselves) family life existed in the camps. Women married men they met in the camp because they no longer expected to see their husbands alive.

Khrushchev and his clique discovered that "yabutsy" were happening in the camps and separated the men's and women's zones by a distance of 100 kilometers (I read this information in Evgenia Ginzburg's "Cruel Route"). Homosexuality flourished in the camps, and of a particular kind.

From the point of view of the criminal underworld philosophy, it is shameful to be a passive homosexual, a "cock." But an active homosexual is perceived as a "real guy." There is a caste of "degraded" people in the camps, but there is no caste of "degraders." It shyly hides in the shadows.

Since it takes strength and power to "degrade" someone, the relationships of camp homosexuals quickly coincided with the structure of dominance, based on the relationship of power and subordination. The camp philosophy affected all of Soviet society, especially the "security forces" and special services.

The philosophy of Soviet developed homosexuality penetrated even into those social strata in which it should not be by definition. What does a manager mean when he says that his superiors "fucked him in the ass"? Obviously: "the management gave a severe reprimand." In other words, the relationship of power and subordination in Russia is understood by many in terms of a homosexual act.

That is, the very "vertical of power," the famous "chekist hook" – is essentially... well, you get it.

Hence, by the way, the cult of the "real guy" or "man," especially developed in the "gopnik" (i.e., semi-criminal) environment. A "guy" is a respected active homosexual in a concentration camp, and not at all a pathetic "cock." And why is this cult needed? People are just afraid. They are afraid that they will be "degraded." And in order not to be "degraded," one must "degrade" others. Hence, the corresponding behavior.

A "guy" is a heterosexual man who, under the pressure of circumstances and the social environment, behaves like an active gay, but at the same time presents his behavior as a manifestation of courage.

The system of Soviet developed homosexuality, which understands the relationship of power and subordination in terms of a homosexual act, is based on three pillars. The first pillar: the fear of being "degraded" and thereby assigned to the lower caste. The second pillar: "knowledge of life," that is, knowledge of the true nature of the hierarchy and claims to power based on this knowledge (this is usually characteristic of middle-level officials who found themselves in Sorokin's "caterpillar" between the rulers and the ruled). The third pillar: the understanding by the rulers of the process of governing the country precisely in terms of developed homosexuality.

The most amusing thing is that the vast majority of participants in the system of Soviet developed homosexuality are heterosexual.

Soviet developed homosexuality is currently experiencing a serious crisis, facing the Western model of attitude towards homosexuals. "What, are 'cocks' also people?" – this lament, like a song, is heard from all levels of the power hierarchy. It is the conflict of models that explains the current "homophobia." Because if "cocks" and, in general, gays are recognized as people, this will mean that the very foundations of the power of the Soviet authorities are lost.

A "guy" who admits that he is an active gay is no longer a "guy." A "cock" recognized as a person is no longer a "cock." The Soviet camp castes are cracking at the seams and are ready to collapse. Hence, the hysterical struggle against homosexuality, at the forefront of which are Soviet "guys" with beer bottles in their hands. To prove that they are not gays, the "guys" are ready for anything. For example, they are capable of sticking a bottle in the "opponent's" ass.

What follows from all this? Europeanization will affect this, very intimate area of the Soviet hell. Developed homosexuality will face the same fate as developed socialism. The only question is whether Russia will come to the Western model of attitude towards gays or develop its own, "sovereign homosexuality."

The modern struggle against "homosexuality" is not a conflict between homosexuals and heterosexuals, as the media portrays it. It is a conflict between two different versions of homosexuality – the Soviet and the Western one.
