If you were offered to start with one additional unit, which would you choose – a Titan or an Archangel?

No, not really – he just got into an argument with some theorist from the Hellight chat. The theorist backed down at the last moment, but I was already curious to see how the Heroes community would vote.

much depends on the map; on almost all XL+U maps, except perhaps 8x8, I would choose the Titan. On most other maps, taking control of Confluxes and Hives is easier and more convenient with the Archmage (the Titan cannot move and attack simultaneously if there isn't a creature blocking it, and this is its main disadvantage), and that says a lot.

if you play the entire game with only one unit, without any variations, then it's the Titan. But if one of these units is just an addition, then it's the Archangel (you'll burn out the timer while shooting, plus the neutrals have morale, and you can resurrect/block the archers). P.S. Which will kill or not kill: 1 Titan + an army from the first (or second?) week, compared to 1 Archangel + the same conditions. For some, it will be easier, and for others, it will be impossible.

I agree with Hellight. It depends on the template. And also, I would say, on the starting town. For Tower on mm6, for example, obviously the titan. For Castle on Jebus Cross, obviously the archangel. For Necropolis on Diamond — a big question, but probably still the titan.

What's with this poll? Why is the titan in the back? This isn't HotA, and why is there only one archangel?? I always have 5 of them!
